did the body come with working tail lights? when I search scx10 hummer on ebay i get up a couple of bodies but all it says only working front lights...
I didn't do the body mod on this truck, but the guy made aluminum brackets that he attached to the body interior and screwed to the chassis rails. He had to unscrew four screws in otder to change batteries.
Awesome! Hey icecreamslick, which SCX10 is that, can you please give me the measurement of the wheel base from wheel nut to wheel not? I read somehwere not all the Axial SCX10 doesn't have the same length. I have the Hummer body, I just wanna make sure the SCX10 I'm going tobuy is the rigth one.
This truck is an Axial SCX10 that you can buy for somewhere around $250. The motor and ESC are Traxxas Velineon and cost about $125. The body is from a New Bright RC truck and may be hard to find by itself. Not sure of the cost. Other than those things, you still need your own transmitter and receiver. If you are starting from nothing you'd probably need to put around $500 into it to get something similar if you include truck, electronics, body, battery and charger.
Wasnt trying for 100% scale. Just wanted it to look good and to be extremely capable. Alot of stuff I get into would not be possible with small tires. I have the smaller tires and have tried them, but this way is my favorite. For the guys that like slow dirt/rock trails small is fine tho. We will be getting more footage this week. And icecreamslick, great job as always. This week will be showing both trucks again. T
Very nice!! Wanna get one... :p

what tires are thoughs?

2.2 RC4WD Mud Slinger tires, nice, really does fill out the H2 body since the 1.9's are a bit small.

The hummer body fit perfectly, but I don't know exactly how he mounted the body. It belongs to someone else.

can you send me the link on where you bought the steel gears for the tranny please :D
100tear 1 year ago
I got mine several months ago on Ebay. If you go there, search for 'Axial steel gear set' and you should find them.
icecreamslick 1 year ago
and do you have any build threar of it?
100tear 1 year ago
No, it was a straight forward SCX10 so there is no build thread.

what do you think is the high speed of your truck?
100tear 1 year ago
Its still geared as a trail truck/crawler, so it is slow. Maybe 10mph, but I'm not sure.
icecreamslick 1 year ago
Yes, they are 2.2 wheels and we are running the stock tranny with steel gears.
icecreamslick 1 year ago
are those 2.2 wheels? and are you running stock tranny?

That must have been tough to clean after rolling around in the sand!

Actually, that's the coolest part! We literally just dunk the trucks in the water to completely wash everything off. : )

Badass. Thing is tho the wheels are too big to be scale-looking.
