hey i have a focus st and i have the same broblem and my engine is making exactly the same noise. I took it to ford and apparently its a common problem, they told me its the oil filter housing system. When ever i put my foot down my turbo will only kick in the same as yours mate. Its been in the garage for 2 weeks

I have the same problem mine only goes to 1/4 boost, only picked it up today.

from tht it looks like its a pause in power!! fords factory calibration, a remap wud rectify tht!!
