  • You can't target one part of the body to lose weight. When cardio is done, it burns fat all over the body. My dad's been an amateur body builder since his 20s, and he knows his cardio. Running/Jogging about 30/45 mins a day at least 3 times a week is good, but if you really want to lose the weight, just take 1 day off per week. Eat healthy, smaller & more frequent portions, and plenty of proper rest is how to lose it. Lean meats, good fiber, no cane sugar.

  • Crunches burn fat and build muscle. Get your facts straight first before you try to insult someone for only trying to help.

  • @inudee Sure crunches are cardio but for serious weight loss it won't do anything except tone muscle. Heavy cardio is important, such as running, doing a circuit built for cardio, kettle bell lifting, or even skating. Maybe YOU should get your facts straight before insulting someone. :) Being the daughter of an amateur body builder has proven very helpful to me.

    The neck really seams to be the area of intensive work out in this one, because of that I'm not sure it would work for me.

    The body stores fat all over it according to your genetic make-up. There are NO exercises that you can do that will target areas for fat reduction.

    Building muscle is good. The more muscle tissue you have, the greater your metabloic rate and therefore the more fat/energy you will burn off - Just for the fact that it is there on your body.

    Good diet and cardio/HIIT is the way to go.

  • I believe dieting and cardio are excellent factor to loose a lot of body fat. Sit ups are good options but dieting should reduce fats and excercing both are good combination. Cardio like running is the best key to keep you up loosing body fat.

  • good diet and cardio is the only thing you need to do for loosing belly fat, sit ups and crunchies dont work,they only build muscle under the fat making you look fatter

    i do do much cardio! play football almost everyday go jogging, and i have done probably from age of 7-17 (now)

    but i still have an inch of belly fat...probably coz i eat WHAT I WANT

  • @adog7474 muscle does indeed burn calories, however, building bigger muscles in your ab area to simply burn fat isnt going to do it. You want a strong toned core not a thick mid-rift. So spacecowboy is far more accurate than yourself..........circuits burn n tone fat the most ie short sharp high intensity workouts using relatively light weights

    repeat 3 times a day......itl tone up your abbs big tym!
