I just recently started playing this game, and I have to say that is it is a pretty awesome world at war simulation. As the name implies, Defcon, relies on using nuclear weapons to beat your opponents into oblivion... the game mechanics, especially the music, make this a chilling nuclear war scenario.

gradual build-up that adds to the tension, and then there's about 15-20

@Pedrohksgreddyturbo yes, defQon, with a Q, that's because they needed a cool name with a q in it since it is organised by Q dance. But it has nothing to do with this game. the defcon scale (I guess you can call it that). Is used by the american defense forces to indicete how big of a threat there is for the country and linked to this is the readyness of the defense forces. The scale starts at 5 and goes up to 1. 1 being total and utter chaos and a lot of soldiers pissing their pants...
