i was at this race. people around me started leaving with 15 and 10 laps to go, but the person i was with was a big stewart fan. we see him slow in three and EVERYONE goes crazy. probably the best finish i have ever seen live.
@monkeyjaws1996 He led like 70 laps, Kahne led like 66 so neither of them really 'dominated'. This was Kahnes race at the end and the right guy won it.
as i watched the race,i thought, kahne had it.but at that moment i saw everybody pointing to turn 3 an i saw stewart slow down...who am i kidding hell yea kahne kicked some ass and i was there!!!!!!
ok lets see this was been a big upset for me like lets see stewarts season Daytona-lost the lead at last lap, atlanta-got 2nd by just getting near,Bristol-crashes by harvick with 3 laps to go,talladega aarons 499 car was so great but involved in a wreck and ill add more how stewart feels
right now hendrick is getting ready to win a championship dont forget about we ahve three guys that can win a championship once the chase starts we will see who is ready to roll. i got a feeling jimmie and jeff are just sitting back right now. i really feel bad for tony to come that close to winning it that really sucks
all jeff needs to is stay in the top twelve and then when the chase comes thats when he needs to win but right now he doesnt needd tow in but a win would be nice but he doesnt need it.
And with the chase format right now, Jeff needs to win a couple races before Richmond to get a little boost of where he starts in the chase. If the chase was to start right now, he'd be 70 points behind Kyle Busch. Now that doesn't sound like much, but every last point counts from here on out.
The tracks coming up, though, (except for maybe Watkin's Glen) are good tracks for Kyle. Jeff's good at them too, but he's been struggling, and I don't know why. The #24 team needs to figure out what it is, though, and fast.
Man how many more times is Carl Edwards going to run out of fuel on the final lap, he ran out of fuel at Martinsville on final lap, and now this on the final lap? He really needs to keep track of his fuel.
You actually gotta feel for Tony stewart. Tony was leading with only a few laps left, and he blows a tire. Now I'm a Tony Stewart hater, but I do feel bad that he had a Coke 600 win blow just because of bad luck. Reminds me of how Dale Earnhardt lost the '90 Daytona 500.
As a tony fan its been a rough year rooting for Tony, he loses the daytona 500 on the last lap by making the wrong move... and then blows a tire with 2 to go, unbeliveable... at least hendrick isnt dominating this season!
LMAO that was very funny :) but these guys are racers and they want to win every sunday, even tony. When tony was a kid his dad wouldnt let them leave for the track untill Tony told his father he was going to win... so it has nothing to do with toyta... just bad luck :-/
'Course Tony wants to win. It doesn't matter whether he's driving for Chevy, Ford, Dodge, or Toyota. Every time you hop into a racecar, your intention is to win the race. The Hendrick stable will make a comeback.
I love this video for 2 reasons.... #2 is that Kasey won cause i pull for him but the #1 goes to Tony for crashing, just check my profile, all tony crashes..... Hell YEah!!!!!
How many times has Tony been in contention to win in the closing laps of a race only to be taken out by something out of his power?I felt sick after this race.
Tony's team chose to not take tires on the previous pit stop. The fact that he was "taken out" WAS within his power. Tire management is part of racing. The mistake is a bad a running out of gas. It is a 600 mile race, not a 597 mile race.
Now this was a much better race than the All-Star race, in fact, it was an excellent race! And it's all thanks to the change that NASCAR put with the Car of Tomorrow. Thank you NASCAR for making the Car of Tomorrow really exciting now! Keep up the good work!
I think i got this race, also the 2008 Coke Zero 400 at Daytona.

@MrZachGW Oh bull. Kahne dominated this race. Had his pit crew not completely sucked on the last stop he wouldn't of even been behind Stewart.

@kasey9fan Pretty sure Jr. dominated this race until he blew the tire.

Dosent it seem like every Coke 600 as of late is Crazy?
2009- Reutimann stays out
2008- Stewarts blow tire
2007- Mears's gamble
2006- Kahne's 3-wide pass
2005- Johnson edges Labonte
HUH?

All good but the 2009 race. Staying out is fine, but winning a little over halfway is just a shitty race.

card81 3 years ago
that's the thing, it was odd how last year jeff kept winning a lot of the races but then lost the championship because of this chase.
I do hope he wins his 5th title this year. It's not fun watching jimmie johnson win or kyle bush.
yomi1896 3 years ago
yeah the chase definetly lost gordon a championship so hopefully this year it is a complete opposite of last year.
card81 3 years ago

i disagree the 24 team cars have gotten better dramatically and kyle's team hasnt been very good lately.
