  • A domain search reveals that the website is registered with Godaddy and is registered to a company called LogMeIn, Inc. This company appears to be something to do with remote access but I'm wondering if the company doing the scamming erroneously registered the domain to LogMeIn, Inc. in order to hide themselves. If it is actually LogMeIn, Inc. then they have press and investor contacts on their website which can be found easily through a web search.

  • Brilliant. This happened to me today. A call from a guy with an Indian accent called "Jack Watson" from "the computer maintenance department". We spent about 10 - 12 minutes of messing around slowly going through the routine. Meanwhile I plugged my guitar in, switched on my amp and effects pedals, turned the volume to 11 and give "Jack" a blast of feedback. "What's happening? What's going on?" asked Jack. "I think... it's ALIENS have landed!!!" I replied followed another more sustained attack.

  • can they hack laptops?

  • Remember, as Microsoft say, they "...NEVER call you, unless previously arranged", so alarm bells should be ringing in your head if you get an unasked for call.

  • I'm sure most Indians are fine. A genuine technical support guy I called up for was excellent. Otherwise, with a country of approx. 1bn people, you really would get no peace at all. However, these scum that phone up really annoy me. I have to say, I simply hang up.

  • Do you like chips? Brilliant. I too love to mess with telemarketers and the ones you are dealing with here seem very familiar to me. Were they by any chance calling themselves either "ePowerSolutions" or "eProSolutions"?

  • @Mezaial They used to say they were from Microsoft's technical support center, but recently they have been calling themselves windows. For some reason after this call they haven't called as much. They will probably start using different fake company names eventually.

  • once you answer them they will torment your phone for weeks the bastards, i love keeping them on the phone and wasting there time

  • cant trust noone these days

  • Basically all Indians should be shot.

  • recently i purchased i pc from dell and the pc stopped working it would not pass post.So i phoned dell about the problem and the next day i had a pc guy come around to fix it.Now then ever since i phoned dell that day i have had these scamming twats phoning me almost everyday. Is it a coincidence that these guys are phoning me after i phoned dell i dont no is there an inside guy working for dell i dont no.Im just pissed off of these assholes phoning me they want get a dime off me stupid cunts

  • this is true they almost got me, but the good things is my husband is there and he works at programs in computer so this scammers was not able to get me ;p

  • If I ever get any of these calls, I'll tell them I'm running OS X, Fedora, Ubuntu, or OpenSUSE.

  • i thought scammers were from nigeria

  • they just tried this with my grandmother....shes 82 and and doesnt know the difference between a portable dvd player and a laptop, lucky i was there to waste the guys time for a while then scream racial slurs down the phone, cheeky git actually phoned back after i hung up the first time and demanded i turn my computer on, i said some stuff about his mother plus pigs and cows cos i wasnt sure which part of india he was from, not proud of it but there you go

  • Lol, they said oh god when i said i had a winlog error and then he wanted me to dl ammyy and then i said, do you think i'm a fucking idiot?! All those errors are lost connections and shutdown errors and then he told me to go fuck a tramp XD

  • I just got this call today~ good thing I typed this "eventwvr" in google while he was talkin to me and yeah saw the words SCAM ALL OVER~ goodthing, I hanged up immediatly

  • same asshole called me then i went in to youtube and typed there website and then i hook up

  • Lmao same guy that call me couple of weeks ago. Lol i ask what company, he said he works for windows.... i told him windows, you are a fucking scammer. There is no company called windows. There is a company called microsoft. Lol

  • LOL i want to be a computer programmer and when he told me to open eventvwr and said how many errors are there, i said many, he said ooooo thats not good, go to logmein123 and let me see your computer, i said do you think i am an idiot, those errors are connection lost and system shutdown errors, bitch go fu** yourself... and then he hung up. later that day, i got another call from them, it was a lady this time, i asked her, just to know, what computer am i using??? and she hung up XD XD XD

  • I had one of these calls yesterday. It took me about 1 second to realise that it was some fucker trying to rip me off. If you genuinely have a virus nobody will ever phone you about it and anyway I have full protection on my computer along with my files backed up. I called her a Paki whore and told her to fuck off back to the Paddy field. She just hung up lol

  • i just received one of those calls a minute ago i bullshitted them so bad..

  • D for... erm, dandruff?

  • My scammers name was Ricky Williams hah, strange name for a man with a very thick Indian accent. The best was when he tried to make me get Mozilla, and I asked him why Microsoft employees would try to get me to use a competitors browser.

  • I just got the call! I'm Swedish. .So after a few minutes on the Phone i sad "I'm aware of that this is a scam".. And he screamed: SO WHY ARE YOU WASTING MY TIME!!! I started to laugh and hung up!

  • I got a call from 247PC. I should have play nice and ask them to call me back another day so I can prepare my spare laptop full of gay porns, word document inciting hatred towards all Indian scammers and let them remote access it.

  • Go to their site "w w w . globalpcprotection . com". It is full of website design fails. Even better, use Command Prompt to "tracert" them. You can see that their site is hosted by Go Daddy, a hosting service that offers three domain names for about three bucks a year. They are hosted by Go Daddy but they use "secureserver . net" which routes through four servers before reaching their site.

  • someone please prepare a virtual machine ready for them to let them in and see what they'll do (and make it log the IP in the background)

  • @bgrgyk The same idea occured to me since I have a spare laptop, will fill it with gay porns and 2girls One Cup video clip.LOL. I might contact them to for support so they can ring me back at their own cost.

  • @affyaffHD I saw videos of that. I got Ubuntu set up on a VirtualBox machine and if they call me I can let them mess with it and when they install their usual trojan I can just fix it with a single click. The comment below yours also has a good idea. I could make it loop Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" until they connect.

  • I swear i talked to the same exact person!

  • @Sipher114 me too. Called him an idiot.

  • @Sipher114 So did I and I did something similiar with this scammer too! lol

  • 20 years old computer HAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA

  • V for wicktor .... lol

  • I might buy an old computer, next time they ring ill just use that and all that'll be on it will be rick roll videos

  • I firmly believe a good old fashioned public hanging would be suitable punishment for these criminals. 'Scammers' just sounds too cutesy, criminals is more suitable for these low lives.

Fines or imprisonment is not enough to deter them, just hang them publicly as a warning to all others. Either that, or sever all trade relations and/or tourist travel until India gets serious.

  • Oh my gosh!!!! LOL

  • 2.5 hrs of , ohh I'm not very good at this, is that double U or W? Got the first guy so rattled that he said "Jesus Christ" and gave me to another call handler.. Asked me to download a remote viewing program (I didn't), I needed my glasses, the postman came, I made lunch and ate it while I was "waiting" for the program to download... at one point I had tears running down my face with laughter.. I put the phone down after the 90 mins and THEY RANG BACK, desperate or what?

  • that is so clever man, why didn't I ever think of this trick :))) though, shouldn't this recorded piece go to the right place? I mean, they steal peoples money, ffs

  • Same thing happened about a few months ago. Had the nerve to call me twice.

Cut the phone when they said they have to call someone else! :P

    Stupid Scammers!

  • OMMMGGG THATS THE SAME VOICE OF THE INDIAN GUY THAT CALLEDF ME I HUNG UP ON HIM. THEN HE CALLED BACK I TOLD HIM THIS WAS A SCAM THEN HE HUNG UP ON ME. LOL LOL

  • @EXOTICPACO Yea the idiot hung up on me too because I was being critical. rofl

  • @dandykong1 Ok ok so you have an "entire approximate address" in Arizona from where they are hosting their remote assistance sites. And as well as this you know they are operating from three different countries, none of which are West Bengal apparently. Let me ask, why arent you helping to get these people prosecuted by going to the police?

  • The English version of their website is based in a house in Scottsdale, Arizona (Pinged and looked up, entire approximate location is a neighborhood in Scottsdale), they call from India, and they only have service for three countries, none of which are West Bengal.

  • @dandykong1 "Entire approximate location", my apologies.

  • These losers called me when I was sleeping... I had no idea until I realised that they were going to use a remote program to access my pc >.> So stupid

  • Bahahahaha I had the same thing today dirty cunts lol

  • I got the same call claiming that my pc were sending messages to them remotely and I ask them where they got my number and they hang up

  • i tell them i have a mac or ask them for there microsoft id number and they get pissd haha

  • lol @ 9:52 "Yea, some people don't like chips" xD

  • My supervisor said his name was "Samuel Smith". I replied "oh, the Yorkshire Brewery?" *confused silence* He repeated his fake name sounding irate. So I responded "hey no need to be Bitter, what Ales you". :D

    Scam the scammers!!!

  • I love how they make you boot Run instead of googling it, the guy i talked to got really mad when i was like 'well why can't i just google it?' 'no im pretty sure i should google it'.

Cut me off when i started shouting curses down the phone :P

  • Wow! Normally, when I confront them they just hang up! How were you able to get to the big boss?

  • @brnm0696 Years of training as an anti-scam ninja

  • @brnm0696 Play dumb scam the scammer by wasting their time & phone bills

  • I got a call from the same guy 3 times last year. After his speech about what he wants to do,I ask him "Who supplies my Internet service, and What is my current IP address?" After 4 seconds, the line disconnects. I have a MacBook with no Windows key anyway. (:>)

  • I have an apple keyboard, this WindowsKey does not appear :(

  • Not Indian.. some southeast asian

  • @samueldavs These callers are Indian, this particular ring focuses on my area regularly. The numbers that call are almost identical to those shown on eoinzy's site, and these have been traced to Kolkata which is the capital of West Bengal in India.

  • @TheShnakey

Ok if they are traced back than yes. But the way he pronounces "V" sounds like south east asian

  • FUCKING INDIANS, WE SHOULD KILL THEM ALL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    BASTARDS

  • @netix75 We should bomb them, but they don't have oil, and mr. black bush likes him.

  • lol the same thing happened to me and he said the EXACT same thing with the letter things.

I played with him a little bit and then he just gave up LOL

  • the same person called me as well...........i played along a bit as well bt dint record it.....jst was curious abt what he was going to say

  • Got the same phone call from a nice Indian woman today. Didn't fall for it though.

I'm from the UK, so it's looks happening in a few countries.

  • @Durusial I just got one I live in Mainland Canada. I just told him I don't speak any english with an asian accent and I also said it smells like curry and why? haha

  • ‎...dont trust anyone on the Phone or the Internet...

  • It's such a dumb scam, it's on a par with those nigerian princes one. So much effort for such little return.

  • well done for keeping 'em talking (and recording the call). I could not be bothered to figure out the scam and put the phone down immediately.

  • LOL. Same thing happened to me. I let them play a bit. :)

    youtube.com/user/abbtech?feature=mhee#p/a/u/0/5zQWd2b_Qms

  • @abbtech Your video is a good example of persistent these people are. Ringing back and leaving voice mails, its just incredible.

  • @abbtech these are Indians calling from slums in Dharavi , mumbai

  • Why so calm :L I get disconnected from the internet so they get the full all bulls raging racial abuse throw down the phone my mum was there and she was just like wtf funny thou

  • EXACT SAME GUY that phoned me not half an hour ago. fucking dirty cunts

  • Mom: *to me* Its those people again... Me: Oh really? Give it here! Hi! =D Guy: Hi, there's some malware on you're computer and we need to remove it. Me: ...where are you calling from? Guy: We are from Microsoft. Hackers could gain access to you're credit/personal info. Me: Ohhh. That wouldn't be good. Guy: No it would not. Me: Uh-huh. If I told you I had a mac and don't run windows, what would you say? Guy: .........pardom me? Me: *repeats* Guy: ..... Me: Nice try. *clicks*
  • I got a phone call from this lot a while back, except I went further than you to the stage where I was filling in online forms and downloading software. Its too long to post here but I blogged about it on dingostew[DOT]com (just go on and search for Microsoft in he search box up the top right)

People on that have also tracked down some of these people and put up phone numbers, and even a linkedIn profile!!

  • @eoinzy Nice site, ya if I was goin to go any further I would probably set up a virtual machine and let them in through that. You could use an advanced network activity monitor then to collect what ya need in the way of i.p's.

  • @TheShnakey I was actually thinking about that too, but I figured theres no guarantee that they'll ring back again. I'm sure if you had wireshark or whatever loaded up in the VM, they'd probably just shut it down. I'm not sure if you can capture stuff inside the VM from outside. Maybe. At the very least, we could try a DDoS attack on all their websites!! :D

  • These guys dont just do the computer tech scam. they also claim to be attorneys, debt collectors, government officials, they also claim you have won prizes, scholarships, grants and you only need to send money. they also claim you have been approved for loans..and many other scams. latest number they have called from (323) 432-8769

  • @MsCat024 Yeah I have heard that alright but it seems in my area anyway we are only being targeted by the indian i.t dumbass brigade. They use voip when they call me so even after holding them on the line for ages, the number you get is always engaged.

  • i reported his phone to a consumer complaint website, and today, it's got a total of 16 complaints!

  • @theikmarket Thanks for doin that man, the word needs to be spread, would be able to link me to it?

  • the man sounded so similar to a call i got weeks ago..what is the number of the scammer again?

  • Comment removed

  • @macdaddy912 Not a bad idea man, will get on it

  • sddgjfj
