it depends what kind of hat they like to wear.
My Grandpa was born in Croatia. Granny was born in Bosnia. They both identify as Serbs. I suppose that's coz they liked to practice typically Serb customs. Like go to an Orthodox church (Croats are more likely to be Catholic) and have a family Slava. When I was a kid they used to call themselves Yugoslavs.
But here's a question. Does national identity have to be about where you were born? Tesla did his best work in America.

@starterfire my thought, too... you see the problem is, that anyone who is nearly smart would not show openly to the enemy their strength. It's easier to find & exploit weaknesses then. And USA's problem is definitely not being sure what Russians do have, while they openly brag about everything they found and made. I believe Russia is gonna stay silent for about 10 years more... After that, I wouldn't be surprised to openly say, We're taking half the Europe, thank you very much.

@dncphse I really don't think Russia would get very far with "taking half of Europe"..History would be against you on that one. It's not a criticism, it's just more of a reality. I'm also pretty sure the US have a good handle on what you do and don't have in the way of capability. I admire the Russians greatly, I just wouldn't overestimate their ability or desire to start a war in Europe, never mind win one. Incinerating and irradiating everything in sight doesn't count as winning btw...

I don;t know what the purpose of this facility is. My guess (as a power systems enigneer) is that they were used in order to research high voltage energy transmission.
During the past decades many countries where trying to tramsit energy at super high voltages (800k+). Many laboratories where build for that purpose.
After many years it became clear that the cost of such a power line is bigger than the money that is would save.
Again, this is just an idea, I m not at all sure about it.

This is so interesting, but what were they really up too?? Doesn't look like it has been energised in a long time, Those that powered it up before are probably shit scared of it & frankly so would I. These sort of things are best powered in labs not out here. It doesn't look complete either on the medium voltage side seems to be missing. The rotry arc is not there so it won't work without it, spose that part can easily be portable seeing it is pretty touchy to weather. A display of insanity

umm... this is bad yall. thoughs are tesla coils, set up in a multiple TESLA MAGNIFIER setup. basicaly each coiled ring thats connected to another by a pole, is being magnified. the discharge offf of one of these would be magnificent....like, if captured, could generate enough electricity to power all of new york for a solid hour. but it has corona coils on the top. wich indicates it could discharge in any direction. but y would they do this? id imagine it affects weather.

I remember reading in the 70s that Russia had investigated some of Tesla's theories and had built huge coils. When they activated them they caused severe and uncontrollable local weather problems, so they stopped the experiments. Perhaps these are those.
