Summer 1989 would have been right before I started 10th grade. That was the year I had my first real date (where the girl and I went in our own car, without parents driving). I got my driver's license that year and listened to Skid Row, Tesla, Crue, Def Leppard, and all of them on the "top 40" radio (Eagle 97.1 and Y95 fm in Dallas).

Memories. And these sexy chicks kick ass. Love the guitar solo in this performance.

Brings back good memories. They opened for Deep Purple on their Slaves & Masters tour in early 1991. I believe--and could be mistaken--that Janet Gardner was engaged to DP's manager but don't know if they got married. She has a really good voice...I like the way it sounds on the "I don't wanna... " part in the chorus. Good guitar solo. In the outro solo she quotes some of "Purple Rain."
