I didn't know people liked this game so much. It was my first handheld Zelda game, actually my 2nd Zelda game ever, and it was kinda fun. I used to play it all the time, but I never did beat it. I got stuck in the Eagle Tower and later I think I lost the game. :/

The brawl version of the mesh of Link's awakening Zelda theme/Tal tal heights is pretty cool sounding, but both LoZ: Links awakening and Tal Tal heights were fucking sweet songs on their own, even in crappy little gameboy capable music

Still my favorite zelda game. hell probably my favorite game ever.

Man, I hate that they ruined Tal Tal Heights in brawl. The original GB-song was great because it was a variation of the main theme, but the brawl-version is just an uptempo version of the main theme, and there's already two different arrengements of it in the game!

Not saying that the main theme is bad, but I don't think anyone needs three different kinds of the same song, no matter how good it is.

I never said it doesn't make it any less good. They just generally aren't as good because the graphics, storyline ETC of the newer games are much better, and so I prefer to play them. Why did you include the translations of some of the games and not others? (you said ゼルだの伝説 for the first one but not 神々のトライフォース for LttP)

I love Link's Awakening(夢をみる島)　and Oracle of Seasons (不思議の木の実：大地の章） as well as OoT and WW.

Actually the only ones i didn't like alot were LttP and the FourSword games.

Well "hate" is too strong -- it's a good game, but i just didn't enjoy it as much as the others. The artistic style is a big part of it i think. The world just didn't seem like a fun place to explore to me.

But probably the main reason is that it was one of the last ones i played, and i was expecting alot more from it. Knowing how great many of the SNES RPGs are in both gameplay and storyline, i expected more from LttP than just "ah we are special maidens save us to kill Ganon repeat."

... of course the original has even less in terms of interesting lively overworld going on, but as an NES game i expect that (though AoL's overworld was pretty busy with all those cities).

I appreciate its historical importance to the series, but i just don't feel that it offers anything that later games haven't improved upon, unless you have nostalgia.

It does have well-designed dungeons, but overall the feel of its world is more oppressive and monotonous than fun.

So just my subjectivity. =]
