Rosh Hashanah is marked by some when the moon is sighted. Most people simply follow the astronomical facts that are known far beyond the times we will be alive. Those foreknown times are the dates usually on Jewish calendars. & on Google. Again, YHWH set the times for the new moons. Sayging "Well, it isn't reeeally a new moon at all until two paris of human eyes have seen and reported it" is not Scriptural.. Even the tides know better. That every detail is not recorded doesn't change the fact that this is the way it's been done for millennia. The name Antiochus Epiphanes is not in the Bible either, but from where we are sitting in time, it's wise to pay a little attention to history and use it to provide the correct CONTEXT for the Scriptures.
