I think Richard Lewis gets a little excited sometimes.

Dare I say it, even the new season of curb is a little bit shit,and Im a massive LD fan. The plane/shoelace joke was just fkin tired, a comedy device used 2 eps before with the jew/muslim pratfall that becomes something more than it is. This guy just comes across as someone who will adopt any populist argument in order to further his half arsed satire. Maybe this isnt a good showcase.

@McHanraohanrahan I dunno, man. Everything comes from somebody somewhere, right? Like the Simpsons did it bit from South Park. LD does comedic echoes as storyboard tools to get to the endgame. If you focus on a comedic angle too much it's like standing 10 inches in front of a billboard with a magnifying glass studying the, I dunno... the familiar looking font. I mean, KFC or Popeye's it's good chicken and it gets me full. There are some things in life you just don't need to focus too much on. :)

@Betamaki Wow a beautifuly reasoned reply,Thats a rare thing in itself. You're right of course, theres nothing really new under the sun, its about how much charisma you can invest into the material. Also true that comedy can't be analysed logicaly, subjective as it is. Having watched further into CYE s8, the car periscope episode is vintage, perhaps my fave of all of them. Apologies, sometimes I do rant without really understanding what Im talking about.

If I was an American, I'd be a democrat, obviously, but I think a rant from an apparently legendary comedian should be a little sharper than this. I dont think I get this guy, he's just foghorn loud and and unfunny. Clearly your republicans are still unelectable, unless you actually want more millitary adventures that just dont pan out and cost trillions. I think fielding Palin as VP was republicans basically saying ok lets have some time in opposition, we done fucked it up.
