oh, all right! now, raping this trick requires PATIENCE! LOL! on stage 1 OR 2 (your choice), shoot everything except ONE of the two LEFT-most bees in the formation. when down to the last bee, move close to the RIGHT edge of the screen and avoid it for about 15-30 mins (WARNING: while the bee will attack you from the LEFT, STAY ALERT to avoid its occasional "blind" bomb from the RIGHT!) WHEN THE BEE STOPS SHOOTING for 4 straight passes, shoot IT on the 5th! my high score:1 mill 5. HAPPY SHOOTING!

@dukenthaylor This didn't always work, and it was frustrating when it didn't. 20 minutes of making sure the bee didn't blow up my ship from the right. I did roll the machine using this cheat though. Standup machine at a superput. Extra ships right across the bottom of the screen. :-) That cheat as good as the Donkey Kong jump through the floor cheat on Round 1.

@dabble778 Hmm! Weird! Because not only did it work on practically every arcade game i've ever played (the ONE exception was where i thought i had one of the LEFT-MOST bees, it was one of the ADJACENT bees to the RIGHT of THAT), it worked just last night (22 mins) on my NAMCO MUSEUM game (galaga, galaxian, pacman, ms pacman, pole position, dig dug, etc) for ps2. I got 1 mill 2. Are you sure it was one of the LEFT-MOST two bees?

@dukenthaylor I said it didn't *always* work. Most of the time it did, but now and again it didn't. I used Round 1, 2 x left bees and waited, and waited. Showing to friends when it worked made me a cool! (But a bit of liar when it didn't LOL). I have various versions of Galaga Mame roms: Japanese, US and I recall that one of those didn't allow the cheat. Maybe this was the case with the arcade games as well. Then there was Galag, the bootleg game, that often allowed the cheat too.

@dabble778 Between the old arcade days, and getting my ps2 and Namco game disc, I had a Galaga Mame w/roms for my old Presario (circa 2000-lol), and it worked the 3 times i played that, too. But I hear you, tho. And I can see how all that build-up to such an anti-climax WOULD suck! And you're right; you DO a rush from that "how'd-you-pull-that-rabbit-ou­t-of-the-hat" look in the eyes of your friends when it works, don't you? ;D

@dukenthaylor I tried Mame just after writing my last comment here and it took about 8 minutes - worked a treat. I am using Mac OSX but the 0S9 version of Mame is smoother. Actually I had more of a buzz doing the Death Jump in Donkey Kong on the arcade machines in the '80s: First level, First platform, First ladder, straight up, step right a bit, joystick to the right and jump button and Mario jumps through the floor and the player gets points for that round

I figured out a small hack to the Ms. Pac-Man/ Galaga cabinet.( Only works on Galaga)

When its on the part where the ship is shooting in enemies toggle the joystick left and right while pressing the fire button. Takes a few seconds but it works. * Note the game will shut down momentarily most times. ( I'd walk away quickly without attracting attention if in a populated area.)

there was a knack to this game you killed 1 whole side of the screen and then moved your way over to the opposite side and killed them also you killed as many of the enemy as you could before they started attacking you..i could regularly get to over 150 stages by just using this tactic but i never went any further as i thought there was no ending to the game so never really tried for it...

@playmobil678 One of my nephews said that a couple of ears ago. He was amazed by Pacman as a Mame on my computer, and he had all the PS and Xbox Games. The modern games are prettier, amazing graphics, but are easier.

on galaga, the duel plane comes when one of the top 4 'cricket' looking guys comes down and abducts one of your ships, then you have to shoot the cricket looking one down when he comes to attack you. if you shoot him while hes at the top still then you'll lose the ship.

@davidklausa No, man, the beam is your friend. It's your ticker to dual launchers and high scores. I used to score 500,000 and above on this game, one of the most addictive and popular at arcades. Eventually you find "patterns" that enable you to reach absurdly high scores. Recognizing "pattens" in these older games was a double edged sword b/c a single game could last an hour or more. If you made a mistake and lost a fighter/ man/ship, etc too early, it wasn't even worth finishing the game
