Nice AR I would suggest putting the fixed stock back on for balance. If you need a tad shorter stock buy yourself an "A1" stock. You can get new ones from Cav Arms or surplus M16a1 from gun shows or Internet.
@coolstuffaddict The cans are made for .50 cal ammo which is very heavy. Also the cans are stack-able. I've seen pics of them stacked six high like bricks in a wall. The heft helps grant them the needed toughness.
@colddrake80 that's right, and they are pretty darn tough. Also, even if you don't use them to carry stuff around they are still very cool items to own/collect :)
One suggestion you can perhaps present to the maker of the camo caddy is straps on the end of one side that go under the ammo can to the other side so that the caddy doesn't flap around loosely as it does. It would strap it snug to the ammo can. Also the foam insert should have more slots for the magazine, from the looks of it, if the foam is rigid it would be able to fit 8 maybe 10 magazines if they were turned horizontally. good review.
@D33Lux That is a suggestion that we get quite often so i made a video recently explaining why we made the canCaddy as it is - check out the "Fammocan CanCaddy design" video and it will give you some insight into our thoughts about this. I have thought about rethinking the layout for the foam, but that may or may not happen. Thank you for the thoughts and suggestions, they are very welcome.
excellent idea for the contest Ryan, thank you very much for the review, and good luck to everyone. if anyone has any questions about the product please do not hesitate to contact me directly.
@Fammocan No prob man! I just need a pistol permit tho.then Id get one or a couple of your ammo cans! I dont have handguns, only rifles & shotty. Im in NY...so the things we can get is very limited, and $400 for a pistol permit... BLEH! (^_^)
@deepwater1974 I have a specific video for doing just that, the smaller magazine holes can be cut out very easily and quickly to make that the set up work for 2 pistols. take a look at the "Multiple Gun Demo" video. it'll work in both the 30Cal and 50Cal versions.
