The audience has changed.. back then, most of the audience were in their mid twenties. Now it is parents who don't like wrestling bringing their kids. Of course the reactions have changed.
ly* What we need is a real alternative that is not PG, Paul Heyman suggested a brand mixing MMA and wrestling which would be interesting if it ever gets off the ground. Either that or for TNA to step it up, which is unlikely.
There was a lot of talent in the 90's and it really dried up in the new millenium to present. Maybe it's because wrestling doesn't have 3 big brands competing, only 1 dominates now, so there is less chance to breed talent. I.e. talent in the WWE has to do what they are told + it's PG and there is no real alternative money wise or success wise for that wrestler to jump to. TNa is there yes but tbh they have kinda failed, they are doing moderately well but nowhere near the level of WWE unfortunate
there was something "raw" (parden the pun) about he old shows, they looked more like anything could happen. wwe today looks too scripted and artificial. now when you see orton or cena come out you more or less know what will happen. well thats just my opinion.
If you try to Compare these reactions to the WWE nowadays then these wrestler were Main Eventers or Wrestlers like the Rock who make their comeback !!! But these wrestler are fucking mid card wrestler !!
WTF !!!!
Nowadays we didn't get a reaction like this in the mid card !!! Not even in the Main Event !!!
Yes I used midcarders to show just how now WWE is at the lowest point ever. They cant even get a decent reaction out of their main eventers and midcarders in the 90s get these!
Compare Too Cool's reactions across 2000, and then to when Brian Christopher came in during king's feud with Cole, it's pathetic kid fans nowadays know of little before John Cena.
Why has WWE gone so soft?
