I was actually on this Game Show with Clifton Davis and Ilene Graff--they were both very kind and gracious people. Henry Polic was a total crack up. I had a ball and won a $1000 and some really good prizes. Nothing huge but I'm glad I did it.
Gameshow Host Fail. 4:46 Henry says "Sunrise to Sunset" instead of "Sunset to Sunrise". 4:57 He does it AGAIN. Hard to give the answer when a host gives the hints incorrectly.
Ironically both Henry Polic II's and Howard Morton's sitcoms in "Webster" and "Gimme a Break!" aired back-to-back weekdays in my local area in Chicago from 2006-fall 2008.
And not that but both Henry and Ilene's respective sitcoms in "Webster" and "Mr. Belvedere" used to air together on ABC.
And although both shows faced possible cancellation in 1987, the former saw a new life in first-run-syndication, while the latter got picked up for its 4th of 6 seasons due to higher-than-expected fan interest.
Yep, and during the 1985-86 season, Mr. Belvedere acted as the gatekeeper between "Diff'rent Strokes" (which during its 8th and final season at the time, defected over from NBC to ABC) and Webster.
He did okay, but stumbled quite a bit. Especially in part 4 of 4, when he thought time ran out, and instead, it turned out that an illegal clue was given in the endgame.
He was just so-so as a host, though he was very friendly. And I don't blame Bob Stewart Productions for giving him a shot at hosting this show, since Bill Cullen was no longer available.
Yep, b/c this was one of the 1st episodes to employ the "stop from further scoring" rule as well as lowering the number of puzzles to play for the Jackpot Puzzle from 4 to 3.
whoops, I meant to say that this was one of the 1st episodes to change the rules from allowing the opoosing team to "stop from further scoring and ending the round" to just "stealing 5 points and forfeiting a team the chance at the Jackpot Puzzle" rule.

The host also played Dracula on the one season run of "The Monster Squad" on NBC.

The set looks similar to Pyramid (1980's).

Which was better:
Double Talk

@markofly76 Henry actually spent several years in the 1990's voicing Scarecrow on "Batman: The Animated Series"

Johnny Gilbert announced this, too?

Shoot for the Stars was better, because the gameplay was faster and smoother, plus Geoff Edwards was a better host. Double Talk is quite dull.

Yes, I concur. You also can't help but wonder if they were trying to be like Pyramid in many ways.

This is one show I'd love to see GSN pull out of the mothballs.

How do you think Henry Polic did as a game show.

I'm surprised they didn't allow the winning team the chance to get three puzzles to try to win the $1K jackpot in the maingame.

This one is from the 4th week of shows
Ilene Graff was also on two ABC game shows, as well (the first week of Match Game '90, and the unsold pilot for "Finish Line").
I think she may have also done "All-Star Blitz" as well. I'm not entirely sure, but she probably did.

Also, Ilene Graff is the cousin of Tony winner Randy Graff and the mother of Nikka Graff Lanzarone.

And Ilene is also Todd Graff's (of "The Electric Company" fame) older sister ;)
