Corporations are made up of people, just as governments, political parties and religious institutions. The capitalist argument that free markets eliminate corporations and monopoly power is faulty. Competition is based on the desire for complete control--monopoly. Herman Edwards said it best: "You play to win the game. You don't play to just play it." Businesses compete to corner a market and create a monopoly. A monopoly is an instant money maker--that is how Bill Gates became a billionaire.
RP leaves money control in private hands, not public. Gold standard = corporate standard because those who own the gold rule. No plan for public bank. No jobs plan. Belief in manipulated free market system means corps rule. No plans to reign in corporations, to get the $24T (Dylan Ratigan) back stolen by banksters. Voted no on min wage, extending unemployment. Intends to eliminate SS, Medicare, Medicaid. No plan to stop Corps moving jobs overseas....
@g777enn the govt and the corporations are working together the govt protects the corps through these so called regualtions which only hurt their smaller competitors or corrupt deals. he has stood up to corporate interest his entire 30 plus career bailouts corporate welfare etc. a real free market would stop corporations from gaining to much power because everyone has equal rights noone can just break the law and get away with it. and as for social programs he has always said technically
@g777enn they are unconstitutional because if you read the text in there it is, however he has always said that he will protect the people on those programs he proposed a bill that would only let the money paid into SS go to SS not like what happens now it goes wherever they want it He doesnt want to kick those people off it right now he wants to work on getting prices to a place where more people can afford everything and real capitalism helps if president he wouldnt hurt anyone on the programs
We cannot continue to take from Colonel Sanders. We cannot continue to take from Thomas Edison and spread this Government Leadership System world wide. We cannot continue to try to invade and take land. We cannot continue to spread cement, building & automobiles without good reason. We cannot continue to make guns and military weapons. We need to eliminate any type of deadly weapon (even swords whether it sounds fake or not), from legality to being illegal. Native people were living in peace.
Corporate power is unhindered capitalism. Libertarianism, when you pull of the masks of sweet little old men like Ron Paul, is but an excuse for tyranny, a more efficient tyranny than the USSR, but tyranny nonetheless. The social eugenics of Nazi Germany and American right wing libertarianism have a common father: Herbert Spencer (who coined the term "survival of the fittest" not Darwin). Instead of "survival of the fittest" right wingers today now say the "free markets".
@perdondaris a true free makret stops corporations from gaining to much power, and it can prevent or break down monopolies, the only true monopoly can only occur because a govt creates it, in a more libertarianish (if you will) world everyone would have the same rights corporations could not scam anyone or harm anyone or their property, the system we have now is corporatism where the govt and the corporations work together that is tyranny. the corps are protected by the govt that shouldnt happen
It does not matter what happens at the end, as long as there is a way to disseminate this information, which is infinitely more important than anything they teach in colleges these days.
I don't know. We have all been hoodwinked, hornswoggled and lied to by "too-good-to-be-true" politicians. Either RP is lying or he would be bought off, if he ever made it to the top.
@cheeriosinabowl This video is from the 80's, he has been saying these same things since the 70's. RP Has over a thirty year record of congressional voting. Which shows that he has always represented his ideas, and has never compromised. He has a long history of always speaking the truth, and has made many accurate predictions. All the while facing strong opposition. Even though he proves them wrong time after time. Please look into him further.
... he appears to be the "real deal". He is likeable. But, realistically in this world of ours, he will never make it to the top. From what I gather he only receives a very small fraction of votes overall. He is not a "pre-approved" choice as per our "system", so voters will not flock to him. It would be interesting to see him as president, yes. But it's not in the cards. All the other candidates are just cookie cutter choices, no choice really.
@cheeriosinabowl Right now america is fed up with the 2faced demorepublicratican regime. RP has always stood against this establishment. He wins all the straw polls, and would be the frontrunner if the media did not doctor their own polls. His campaign is running second in the donations race. Only to be overtopped by Romney who is backed by the corporations. I truly believe that the only people who don't like him, don't know him. And we can win if we educate America. RonPaulRevolution2012
im a hip hop artist, i produced a song called "Audit the FED". just type that in with J.Skillz. i'm taking the truth and politics to my music. It needs to be spread. I'm very informative and I'm also very passionate about my art and I want to share knowledge. POWER IS IN THE PEOPLE! Go check out my video, promise you, you won't be disappointed.
I certainly do not agree with everything he stands for (such as banning abortion, etc.), but here's a guy who hasn't changed his tune since he started.
@esigus the constitution states the Right to LIFE, liberty and the pursuit of happiness...what part of LIFE do people not understand? its sad, because all those who believe in abortion, just dont understand the burden and pain it will cause for the rest of THEIR life... but... lets just pray the Lord forgives
@doerrjoshua1Your quote is from the Declaration of Independence, not the constitution.
The point is that it's between the woman, her doctor & her god.. no one else.
Most people who want to ban abortions, believe in capitol punishment, but not in funding programs for poor &/or abused children or for education for the poor, & generally love the idea that US is the "world police," sending troops all over the world to kill others.
Nothing like hypocrisy to wake up to in the "land of the free."
@esigus These are the people with right to life , support our troops , and God bless America ribbons on their cars. Right to life till you are old enough to go to war and kill or be killed for the rich, support war through our military, and God only works for America. The media and the powers that be have created an ignorant society of brainwashed sheeple. God help us all.
If you're talking about the people responding to my comment, that's very true. Most don't understand the documents they [try to] quote, or have even read them & tout slogans without knowing what they mean.
If you mean Ron Paul, however, I'm sorry, but I disagree to a large extent. He is completely against the war. Yes, he is against abortion, which aligns with his Hippocratic oath. Mr. Paul does not, however, believe that God is only on "America's side." He's not an idiot.

I certainly do not agree with everything he stands for (such as banning abortion, etc.), but here's a guy who hasn't changed his tune since he started.
He's analytical & intellectual.
I do think he is sincere.
I think his son is a whacko though.
