  • 715 hp dyno...1100 cfm ....9.98 was the fast pass in the truck have a dragster now...HELL YA it's worth it looks like howards is doing the same thing but half the price kinda like redneck performance GREAT trans parts and hole trans at half price. have yet to blow up a torque converter from them nos or not

  • That thing is a beast! I've never heard a 4/7 cam in person.. but man I want too! I want to install one in then engine I'm going to build... Gotta love those Preditor Carbs, don't see them much anymore.

    One question, what is this engine installed in?

  • you they did a dyno test in Car Craft, and it gave an extra 10 horse, and a more even and stable load on the crank which let it rev quicker, you know some. nothing like a light rotation, but that is what it was meant for anyways, ask Ford. all that adds up nicley, so it seems worth it. i was planning on doing that with a project in the works, and using an ISKY 4/7 swap cam like this Comp Cam that is pumping out some major numbers in 383's.

  • what is the comp cam # cuz i payed 900$ to have mine desighned and then i payed comp to grind the cam and it looks as thoe they stoll it but it hased changed one deg on the lobe seperation

    I paid $400 for a custom ground alky cam from Custom Cams in CA. 4/7 swap, small base circle. Talk to Danny Giffin at CC's. Bullet offered the same price but didn't call me back quick enough. This cam is going in my 420 Dart Little M with AFR 227's and supervic on alcohol for dirt racing (emod).

    That motor sounded sweet rx1!! That is porn to me.. lol

  • crane and all dyno tests clame a 60 hp gain just by swaping #4 and #7 cyl also by the 110 dig swap a much larger lift and dur can be used and still idle smooth

  • thanks how much hp you got in that engine? Do you have to have a big lift cam to do that swap?

  • dyno @ 715 and no you dont need a big lift but it makes the horse power gain across the board this cam is a solid lift roller

  • I used to have a predator on a 70 Camaro with a 396 .060. I havent seen one of those in 15 years!! 5mpg was a good day, but it was fun to play with! (every time I started it) How do you like the 4/7 swap? not a very common deal, but nice to see people doing different stuff!!

  • i just baught a 1195 deamon and the predator is still the better carb so much easyer to toon and less time involved the only prob with the predtator is now tall it is i wanted to put the matching hood back on and have far too much in the paint to cut a hole in it as far as the 4 7 swap not that i like ford but thay figured out the horse power gain back in 94 with the 302 this cam is a solid lift .573 on a 900 circle and she runs like a .454 at idle and dont clean up tell 4500 rpm

  • what kind of carb is that on the stroker. i have only saw them on tractor pull units

  • 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 is now 1-8-7-3-6-5-4-2 makes sense where they cut it back 110 degrees

  • this is my first swap but let me tell you for the lift and duration on the cam this motor with a stock fire order would idle rough as hell i cant beleave how smoth it is and cant wait for the track still have 2 feet of snow here

  • what is the spec. id like to attemt this cam in my 1980 parisenne 4 door lol. haha that would be pissing off every hybrid owner. the car has 3000 stall converter and 3.73 gears
