This is an excellent movie. Grew up watching movies like this. Hope they bring this out on Blu Ray. BTW, Dennis Leary did an amazing job in this, he genuinely seemed crazy and disturbed as hell.

@paulallan1000 what scares me or what makes me love this movie is that horror films dont scare me like zombies monsters ect as realistically you arnt going to come across them. What makes this a good movie is how you can have these bad guys in any city in the world and this could very well happen to you if your stupid and drive into a bad area be it Los Angeles/west LA New York/ Chicago/ Paris/ London (where I live)

I just recently got the dvd of this thriller at this video store called DVD City,until it closed down,and saw it again last week on Starz in black channel and it on this week again,the whole cast and the director did great with one hell of a good screenplay,so 5 stars,btw Denis Leary is and always will be king in this classic.

@JZ2001JC I love this film though I love the way they shot the streets kinda gotta a glow quality to them...Its the way they lit them I think but its pretty cool trying to get some back story and most of this was shot in Los Angeles where you have the LA river

@jamesthq The beginning was filmed on La France Ave in South Pasadena. I know the person who owns the house where they met up. It's been extensively remodeled since the movie was made but you can still recognize the porch and front door. Judgement Night didn't make it out big though so the house isn't as famous as some of the other places in the neighborhood which have been in higher grossing movies.

Just a few doors down are homes used in Halloween 2007 by Rob Zombie and Little Fockers

@yuandrew oh cool cheers for telling me is that in Chicago the first bit they filmed it then? I have always wanted that movie to have a commentry on there talking about where they filmed it ect. The movie scared the shit out of me when I was 12 but now I admire it for the way they shoot everything. I can imagine that those locations have been regentified and changed by now given when the movie was made. I always laugh when Ray goes "brand new piece of shit tv" shoes you the age of the movie
