305's are weak, but when put in a small car, or anything that is light, it feels like it has a ton of power, just because its a V8. There are better options to get more bang for your buck

possibly, if both have the same motor and trans, then just look at the weight. which one is lighter. that would make a difference

I'm sure they are... the xtremes came with a better suspension package if i'm not mistaken, and if you look, i'm sure they weigh less. Other then the suspension difference, the engine and everything else seems to match up (4.3L v6 90 degree 262ci)

They definately are faster than blazers! I raced a 2 door 4.3 auto blazer with exhaust, cold air intake, and chip and I whooped its ass by about 4 lengths in a 1/4 mile. I have a ext cab 4.3 auto Xtreme on 20's as well and the said race took place when my truck was stock.

@chopedandsectioned the 305 sbc is one of the weakest motors chevy produced. most make less than 200hp from the factory, the bottom end is weaker than the 350 too. plus any heads/ cam setup you run on a 305 is going to make considerably less power than the same setup on a 350. and a 350 is not really any more expensive to get

Are you around Adamstown at all? I have seen a white xtreme around there already that is beautifully done. I have a reg cab all black xtreme with 14 inch smoothies on and white letter BFG T/A's. Regardless a very nice truck indeed.

Hi I am the guy with the truck in the video. I am from adamstown well a few hundred yards outside of town. There is actually 2 in town mine and a girls, the difference between hers and mine hers is stock with a 2 inch cowl mine has a 6 inch cowl. I have mine torn apart right now doing some motor work and putting a cage in it. I ran down at cecil at the end of the year it ran 11.19 at 122 mph.

Sick is right, first thanks for the video. For the people who didn't see under the hood it has a blown 6-71 small block. i had problems with my fuel vapor locking. This run was right after the true street cruize, is was hot. My best time of the weekend was 12.03 @ 118mph. The truck has a stock 5 speeed so no hard launches. For the racers who know there mph to et, could figure out it should be faster then 12's. usually it backfires or run out of fuel., still working on tunning. Thanks for the vid
