very interesting...would love to know how you can reproduce the piece again once it's played if you don't write it down...it looks as if the building blocks are done while performing, not recorded....hmmm...need to learn more about you :)
Outstanding ....Great use of the Mac, foot controler, so on. These are just tools to use to express your creativeness. I see it as a great way to build what is in your head musicaly. I love it.....You go !!!!!!
i heard your piece Lost on the radio station 102.1 KDFC (which is in the bay area, califonria) i was like WOAH , than they said to check you out on youtube, and here i am. .......even more impressed. this is amazing.
zoe really has a different look on her music, and i like the fact that she made it clear that her computer is just a pencil .. she has amazing talent ... and really seems to have that unique passion of what she does, unlike many artists of today
I love her! She's so talented and her style of portraying music and making music is unique in itself. No one can be another Zoe Keating. anyone know the piece she was playing towards the end of the interview?
yup, one full album, and an EP, but she is currently working on her next one, which [according to Zoe] should be out sometime in the fall [I dont know her personally, I'm just a mega-fan who follows her on twitter ^__^ (and im a cellist!)]
Music is nothing without passion for it... sometimes that passion lies in creating music that fits together sometimes it's all about the chord changes. Most of the time it's just pure expression from the body and soul.
Awesome interview! Loved the music! Want to say TY! I have had an idea in my head for a long time about using computers and music together like you are doing! Again Ty for the inspiration!
I totally get it.

Dear Zoe... The KRK's behind you, do you use them for your productions? If so, would you say they translate well to large speaks say at a concert?
I do like you your music very much, pure inspiration.

Her music approach is great so long as she doesn't ever have a pointer haired manager come around. Let's hope she doesn't seek venture capital.

You don't want to touch the computer with your hands?
Um, you do realize your fans are open to being your slaves, right? I though we'd made that clear by now. :)

I love hearing the reason for the music.

I think we're at the latter with Zoe.
Thanks for posting this!
