Awesome. This is when rallying was rallying. I'd pay any amount of cash to watch 2 different types of mid engined Italian sportscars, Porsche 911's, a mid engined Renault hot hatch and a 400hp BMW thoroughbred competing in a rally! Now all we have is wheezy little turbo restricted superminis with ridiculously overflared wheel arches competing on events that all look the same. A World Rally Championship without the Monte, Safari, Corsica, San Remo and a proper RAC? No thanks.
@trickydicky118 Well, the modern rallying is not that bad, but what I miss is the dancing on three pedals and gear shifts. I'd like today's rally cars to a plastic Casio with auto accompaniments to the 80's rally as a Steinway piano. But that's what manufacturers want to convince us, that newer and more plasticky and electronic is better than a true driver performance. I'd say, blame the manufacturers.

wow... the 80s were really laggy sometimes... if i lived at that time, i woul`ve been really annoyed by the sound lags^^
