I need some earbuds and i only wanted diddybeats cause they look stylish and are supposed to be high quality. If i didn't come across this review i would of ended up saving ages and have a huge dissapointment. thanks dude I'm just gonna get the tour instead
You have to burn-in the headphones for atleast 20hrs before the begin to sound good, my Tours sounded like crap when i bought them but they gradually began to sound better now they sound better than just as good as my Studio's
If you haven't returned these, you should let them burn in. The manual explicitly says that it needs at least 70, but recommend 20 hours of "break-in" time to get the best quality. I have the Solo HD's too and in comparison, the diddy beats are actually better in sound quality AFTER i burned them in. The Solos drown out the mids, and although the diddy beats suffer the same problem, it's still a little warmer and the mids are a little better.
Hey man, I listened to your review today and wasn't going to go and buy any because of what you said. But, me being curious went out and bought them anyway just to see for my self. Well, to my surprise dude, you were SPOT on! These headphones are definitely NOT worth $150. If anything, they may be worth 50 or 60 tops. They just didn't live up to any of the hype that surrounded the official launch a while back. I will be returning mine on tomorrow to BestBuy for sure. Believe us ppl.

Make sure they are inserted PROPERLY,if not it apparently affects the sound badly...secondly i've heard high end ear phones need at least a 100 hours burn in time for the drivers to reach their true sound. Not sure if its true but I think its worth looking into...
haha, ur supposed to use ur hand to straighten ur ear canal first. and it's said on the manual too. if they r not sealed in ur ears, they sound really crapy.
This is my opinion idk bout anybody else but str8 all diddy is doing is copying dr dre with this damn headphones i have the solo hds and there great so if anybody has the solo or studios or in ear headphones why get this there the same thing just with somebody elses name on them thats real talk
solo and solo hd are the best idk about the studios but they are probably good to.skull candy inkd are good in quality i seen them at places for 19.99 and 14.99 but dont spend over 19.99 for the skullcandy inkd
great review man... im sorry you didnt like them though. I'm looking to buy some studio beats from dre... if im spending that much money i want something good
@Fagster: Take Monster's corporate cock out of your fucking mouth, crackhead. Just because I have money to spend doesn't mean I have to burn it on overpriced fuck shit. Geez, fuck boy, you act like you own 50% of Monster or something, tardo.
Thank you for the video review on Diddybeats from Beats by Dr. Dre and Monster. Keep in mind that the seal on an in-ear headphone is very important for getting the full sound, if you didn't get the right seal with the included tips we can provide help in using them (search our channel for a video on this).
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
@MonsterCableProducts I appreciate how proactive you guys are...my concern is the mic and whether it cancels out surrounding sounds. For I'm still on the fence on purchasing ETYMOTIC hf2 High-fidelity Noise-isolating headset for the aforementioned reason. If they do so then I will conduct a review on them.
If those don't work for you then try a monster turbine or jamz, if you have the money turbine pro. I've owned the turbine and after a 4 hr burn in they sound really good.
dude u gotta change the earbuds to the christmas tree type ones...same thing happened to me until i changed the buds...great bass and sound is amazing
If you want to feel like you are in a club, do not get any in ear buds. But if you need the best bass possible, for in ear, these are it. You just need to get a good seal. use the tiple flange ear tips and apply a small amount of spit to achieve the seal.
Your review is straight on. I bought these to upgrade from my Bose in-ear headphones, and they are such a disappointment. The burn-in period helps, but not much. The mids and highs are quite good, but the bass is so inexplicably absent I am going to return them. My wife recently bought $20 Sony Bumpin' Buds and, overall, I prefer the sound of the Sony buds to these. They look great, but sound terrible. I'm going to try the Monster Turbine earbuds next; hopefully those will be better...
Finally, I SEE A TRUE REVIEW and I WASN't TEMPTED TO VIEW THIS, BUT I FOUND SOMEONE WHO WASN'T PAYED TO SAY ITS GOOD. Thank YOU and YOU saved ME from BUYING that STUFF. I subbed, thank you and i hope you keep your reviews true
hmm, this review will have me second guessing, I may look at other reviews when they come out. But if you are unhappy with those, I would recommend the Bose in ear ones, that's what I currently use when out and about with my iPhone, but mine don't have a Mic so when a call comes in things get awkward.
I don't own them, but i heard them in store once and they definetily have a good amount of bass. It doesn't overpower the mids and highs. The only reason I didn't buy them at the time was because I didn't want to go over my budget.
burn them in before you bash it...LOL

@kych2008 I've tried every earbud and they have a great fit in my ear. They're under-performing headphones when it comes to lows. It's that easy.
