Good review, I just got back from seeing the film and I was surprised on how much I liked this film. I thought that it was suspenseful and fun. The first 30 min was heart pounding, and that scene where he finds his hockey mask, I had chills.

Omg, you have the Joe bob F13 Marathon? I have been searching the net for months trying to find it, it was on youtube before then they took it down. I would do anything for my own copy to watch and see again.

Awesome reviews. What?? You don't like part 6 Jason Lives that much. Thats one of my favorites in the series. When it comes to jason i think the best movies go: pt 3, pt 4, pt 6, pt 7, Pt 1 , Pt 2, jason goes to hell & Freddy vs Jason.

Lol I thought I was the only who enjoyed it and thought it was fun. Not 'greatest move ever' material...but fun entertainment. (I just did a 3 part review of it as well). Great video, and it's great to FINALLY see someone else on the deadpit forum who enjoyed the fucker.

Your review was kick ass. Although - after you talked about the film with such gusto - I was surprised to see that you didn't recommend it - except as a rental. I thought the Friday remake was a crowd pleasing movie. Watching it with the packed house is what makes it so much fun. I didn't really say that in my review - but there ya go. Take it easy.

why do reviews get like this saying it's not great it was better than great it went back to basics to re establish the franchise after bad sequels like Jason Goes To Hell Jason X & Freddy vs Jason and even before that the series got butchered and the new movie was the best Friday The 13th movie in years , yes dumb moments but hey not everything is perfect

I agree with you. I enjoyed the film - but there's a part of me that enjoyed Freddy vs Jason a lot more. I will admit that I liked Jason and some of the kills from this more than anything I've seen in the past twenty years of Friday the 13th and that's a great thing indeed.

Freddy vs Jason was a good movie but it felt more like a Jason movie with Freddy having a cameo.still you should have given it a better score because it was a wel done Jason movie and the movie didn't need a gimmick to get ppl interested like Friday the 13th part 7 to Freddy vs Jason and that's because it went back to the basics , i saw all the Friday The 13th movies ( except New Beginning ) and this new Friday felt different it felt like a new Jason a new Friday and it works

The more I think about the movie and what I liked about it - the more that I feel like re-rating it a 7/10. Scores 7 - 10 mean a lot in my book so I don't give them often. However the F13 remake is winning me over more and more. Thanks for your comments.
