@billyandtherockets Your body isn't used to blowing with force for a very long time. You should try to look up breathing excersizes and practice your breathing, after practicing for a few weeks you will notice you can withstand a lot more than you could before. I was like that last year in my beginner band class. My band teacher taught us with balloons.
Thank you SO much! You are the first instructor I heard say "think oooo" to seal the sides. I have had air escaping from the sides of my mouth, which makes me run out of air on whole notes or long phrases.
teacher breathe trouh the abdomen while u are playing...blow constant air....u blow air in waves...u play the clarinet 4 so many years...an u teach other children 2 play this way...u are wasting theyr money and theyr time...pls dont get upset on me but this is commen sence...I had an profesor that thought me like that adn now I hate him becouse i had to corect soooo manny things...thats whi u have a horrible sound...pls dont post anything else untill u learn how 2 play correct ;)

Don't raise your shoulders when breathing in. It creates tension around the neck.
