Blur came to southern calfornia late 1991 and then again may 1992. Or was the dennis miller show in new york? Graham always used that les paul for leisure songs. even later on

Well, TNOW was released as a single in the U.S. in 1991 I believe. Leisure wasn't even out in 1990 yet. The band toured a lot in the states in 1992, most likely still promoting TNOW and Leisure, though Bang and perhaps Popscene had come out and most of the Modern Life songs were making it to the setlist.

It wasnt 93.. by 93 they were well into the second album "Modern Life Is Rubbish" it was 91

True, but I don't know when TNOW was released as a single in the US - possibly a bit later than in the UK. Either way, great stuff. Not least the host pronouncing it 'leasure' for reasons best known to himself.

For the record, "leisure" is pronounced that way here in the States -- and I imagine it used to sound that way in England pre-1750, before the language was beautified.
