  • Not that it matters, but The Dennis Miller Show didn't debut until January of 1992. It was cancelled the same year. That kind of narrows it down a bit.

  • Blur are so young in this video, especially DAVE!

They WERE already great band back then!!

  • back then when damon sang like shit :D

  • @KutaniCrane he was hot back then

  • Hahaha Is Damon imitating Morrisey? Only he knows but it looks like it.

  • It's funny how all the comments are from people who think they know when this was recorded... people.. ENJOY the FN video... I taped it off the tv in 1991... so get a life.. cheers!!

    1991 :

Top of the Pops, BBC There's no other way

    Reading Festival, camcorder

Dennis Miller Show There's no other way

  • @silverglobe The only reason why people are commenting on when they think it was recorded from is because you have written in your description that you're not sure and put a question mark at the end of 1990.

If you want people to stop guessing and 'get a life' then change it.

    Great upload by the way

  • Thanks so much silverglobe for uploading this video. I never knew Blur did any American TV appearances to promote Leisure. This is great! Cheers.

  • Foda essa guitarra.. Mais 5 sons desse e o Graham Coxon entra pra galeria dos imortais. hehehe

  • Blur came to southern calfornia late 1991 and then again may 1992. Or was the dennis miller show in new york? Graham always used that les paul for leisure songs. even later on

  • this is from 1991 or 1992, in 1990 they used to wear long hair LOL... ^^

  • maybe 1992 :)? Not 1993 for sure

  • Well, TNOW was released as a single in the U.S. in 1991 I believe. Leisure wasn't even out in 1990 yet. The band toured a lot in the states in 1992, most likely still promoting TNOW and Leisure, though Bang and perhaps Popscene had come out and most of the Modern Life songs were making it to the setlist.

Thanks for posting this though! Awesome find.

  • Yeah, I think it's 1991 or earlier 1992 but in 1990 the album wasn't out for sure.

  • It wasnt 93.. by 93 they were well into the second album "Modern Life Is Rubbish" it was 91

  • looks like 93 to me.

  • Looks like 1991 to me

  • Thers no other way was released in the states much later. They even did a new video just for the US release.

  • True, but I don't know when TNOW was released as a single in the US - possibly a bit later than in the UK. Either way, great stuff. Not least the host pronouncing it 'leasure' for reasons best known to himself.

  • Ahh, when Dennis Miller wasn't a right-wing nutter.

For the record, "leisure" is pronounced that way here in the States -- and I imagine it used to sound that way in England pre-1750, before the language was beautified.

  • This looks a bit later than 1990 judging by the semi-sensible haircuts. Great clip though, thanks for posting!

  • well leisure was released in 90' right? so, cant be much later.. maybe 91 who knows :)
