Like, chill out, it may not be normal in your little world, but in other countries the bottles are reused or recycled, so if you are at a street food seller and you want to take the content with you they can just put it on a bag, so they can keep the bottle and sell it to the producer company, and you drink it with straw. If you took home the bottle then you would trash in with all the other trash, and the recyclers would waste the time searching for them on everybody's waste. Anyways, the bottles are not strictly recycled, but reused. Coca-Cola, or the dude in charge of reusing them, clean the bottles, and just refill it, close it and sell it. It is better for the environment!

@dynoh Ok, thanks for the explanation. In Norway, where I live, we pay extra in the stores when we buy the bottles, then we return them to the stores to get the money back. If you dont take it back you lose money. At conserts and such they use plastic cups, but thats more for security so that the bottles are not trown at other people.
