It brought me back to 1973 when i first read this book as was required by our High School teacher (together w/ "The Little Prince" and "Hope For The Flowers" books). At a young age, I learned to look at life in a new perspective and since then my journey through spirituality has never ended up to now...thank you Sir Constatantino Trillana for the inspiration. what a beautifully written score for a movie this was. Neil Diamond won the Grammy Award for best album of the year for (Jonathan Livingston Seagull). And I for the life of me will never understand why the Oscars never nominated (BE)for best song of the year.

Great job, Dennis. No book and author has influenced my life as much as JLS and Richard Bach. He was so ahead of his time, just look at all the self growth literature these days, it just follows his footsteps (without his poetry, though).

I agree, the Music and lyrics are very moving. The Lyrics have so many levels of interpretation. Some how we can relate to this struggling seagull and gain for our selfs a sense of compassion and desire to help and even do better in our own lives, come higher, live and love more. And even have a talk with God.
