To be fair n truthful, I have dated fair n pretty ladies in my life but so are super-tanned sistas too. I have never chosen one over the other bcos of ONLY skin tone. It is well documented that lighter skinned black people are treated preferentially in white society AND black american society. Even American whites will admit this. Sen. Yes you did say vitamin D production is why the north Negros became white people. Also, I didnt say DARK skin in the North is useless, beacuse that is not true. It is not useless, it's just unnecessary to make shield againt a sun that cant burn you, so you save the energy & material that go into making this shield by not making it in the first place. NO skin color's better/worse. But whites do get sun burn even in the north, blacks get none, anywhere. All are bad with frigid temps. WIN'R, Negro!

I still disagree, my melanin serve me in the North as well as in the South; that's NOT uselessness!!! But, my skin turns lighter brown when I stay in long & in the Winter, that's because a thicker layer of melanin is NOT necessary!! DIG IT??

Ok. If 43yrs of life is not enough for a human to draw some conclusions or inference, then can anyone possibly say anything is real? Like I said, the best science is the observation. I have seen what playing too much in the sun does to whites, NEVER to Blacks. I have seen my skin in 26yrs in the temperates turned & stay light brown as oppose to light black in Africa. I have seen white skin severely sun-burnt from just 1hr in the direct NY city summer sun, thats at about 35* north of the equator.

Here's where we diverge. I say, we ALWAYS need dark skin. Dark skin helps in any amount of sunlight. BUT, it cost to make skin dark. Life , like all of nature, take the part of least resistance; it hates waste, & is EFFICIENT. Why expend your precious amino acids on melanin when you can use it for other more vital proteins? So, the body repeatedly, makes the absolute minimum melanin it senses it can get by on.

I doubt it. Quantum physics is made up of layers of theories & theoretical mathematic & congetures on top of congestures. The only physics, is the real physics, NEWTONIAN physics. I recently challenged a phd of physics to ganner the courage to dump quantum for strictly Newton's. Understandably, he tried his best to defend quantum. While I gave him plenty to ponder & his strict adherence to quantum will never be solid again, I failed to persuade him 100% that Einstein's theory is GARBAGE.

From these 3 self evident postulates, we can infer or draw some logical, reasonable conclusions. This is Newtons physics, it's real, But quantumees want to tell us that, Newton's is only good for everything at the atomic & larger levels & fails at the subatomic levels. I say: "NONESENSE"! It seem to fail because of their false theories. If their theories were sound, they will all fit Newton's perfectly.

These theories are tested in practice + physics have found so much more than it was known in Einsteins time. Scientists need better observation apparatus. etc :p At this point scientists have reached to know: "Nothing makes sense". At least far as I know.
10-200 years more and we have theory of everything wich works both in "human senses world" and in quantum world and can be tested in practice. This is what I believe.

It's a sad pity o!! Most of the women and some men who bleach, believe that it will get them more attention from the opposite sex or otherwise!! As a beautiful and proud dark skinned female, I blame capitalism first and foremost and then the brothers(mainly) who promote and prefer may I add, the beauty of lighter skinned women.

To be fair n truthful, I have dated fair n pretty ladies in my life but so are super-tanned sistas too. I have never chosen one over the other bcos of ONLY skin tone. On the truthful n realistic side, I think one's beauty or ugliness (either a man or woman) seem to be enhanced or reduced if one is light-skinned. That's my personal opinion.

@ladysay3 reminds me of a saying i picked up 30 years ago man is a fool, when its hot he wants it cool, when its cold he wants it hot, he always wants something he hasnt got. in fact i know that is not exactly true. he has been conditioned to be that way. 400 years of conditioning calls into question who has done the conditioning. white folk have always tanned but black folk have not always bleached.
