Life Being What It Is is my current favourite song. I don't know why but I found it reassuring to see it recorded in this non-pretentious way, almost an instinctive process. Keep singing Kaki, your voice is really sweet.

I like the way that she sets up her studio. I'd do the same thing, it's like a "comfort zone." You can dress up the studio to be your basement, your own room, or even record under a bridge beside a babbling brook, whatever you feel comfortable with and whatever gives you the ability to play your song. It's great.
