Vers le Sud reminds me of two young men that used to live in my neighborhood in Haiti around 1982. They used to tell us stories about escorting older white Canadian women at diverse hotels/beaches. These women used to come for the simple pleasure of having sex with Haitian men with bigger than usual sexual organs. Some years later, those men both died of AIDS. For those women's pleasure, they paid with their dear lives.
@korvix thats not a milf thats a dragon monster. Old white women are scary as fuck with there wrinkled skin looking like its about to come off at any second.
watched it last night: I thought ity was going to be very boring but it was not, the acting is excellent But the movie was sad. beginning from the neurotic woman who had the first orgasm at 45!!! And had to have it with a child. no wonder 3 years later she is on valium. And the idiotic Wellesly Frech teacher who is denying even the last spark of true emotion left in her not wanting to admit she was in love in spite of all her barriers and rationalizations.
I read all the comment from this page. I agree with you antonioj1. would say that say that if Haiti is a hell country is something that Americans and other big country had planed long time ago , but for the Haitians who 's educated they why are country is the poorest ... to be countinue
Fascinating film, one of the best I've seen this year. Charlotte Rampling is incredible here. This film is multi-themed and covers so many issues. I would reccomend it to all open-minded intelligent people.
i can't wait to see this film. there aren't too many positive things i can say about haiti. i left there when i was 6 and all i could remember was not going outside because there was always a coup. everybody knows the dominican republic for producing baseball players and other things. everyone knows haiti for being poor. i been to the DR, its beautiful and i wish haiti ran its country more like its neighbors.
People should also aware that Haiti was the first slave colony to resist slavery and a become the first black independently governed country. They continually held off french attacks for decades until they could not fight anymore. To stop the French attacks they payed reparation to France, which bankrupted the treasury. This is where the financial turmoil of Haiti comes from. This is very brief and general but there is enough information out there for research.
@AlexanderdeMedici They killed literally every white person on the island. Used to be the richest colony of any European nation, but after they did that, it's become the poorest former colony in the western hemisphere.
haiti is beautiful cant wait to go back, one of the best beaches and terrain (beautiful lush mountains) i have seen, and im well traveled might i add.
been to mexico, colombia, nicaragua, puerto rico, dominican rep. ext...
France stole hundreds of millions of dollars from haiti, Im talking way old school dollars. how can you develop properly when you have a big hole in your economy like that? It is a good country but has been badly damaged by Fr, USA, UK, Esp
Haiti is a very hospitable country no matter what they say about us. As Haitians we should be proud of our country! We have a lot of efforts to make but Men anpil chay pa lou! In other words unity brings power! Check my videos out about HAiti
To the very clever people like frederika... etc. WHEN YOU DON´t KNOW A PEOPLE BUT FROM THE YELLOW PRESS, JUST DON´T TALK ABOUT IT OK?
Rockstarr234 is right. Haiti is a complete and utter hellhole. The citizens may very well be good and decent people, but I'd rather vacation in Baghdad than Haiti.
I disagree haiti is not hell, we are poor and proud first nation independent. I think the real hell is the united states, thru their arrogances and the imperialistic behaviour they have cause great injustices in every part in the world, before making any comment google, research and get your facts.
can't wait to buy this dvd. rampling along with the director of Time Out, one of the best films I have ever seen. looks really good. Lauren Cantet along with Ozon and Chabrol are genius directors. THANKS for this clip! show more if you can. can't get the dvd until next week!
yes, I have been to Haiti, actually lived there for six years. It certainly IS NOT a vacation destination. A very difficult place to be in. I was in Jacmel during December and January of 2006 and 2007. The beaches in Jacmel are filthy. However, the El Rancho Hotel in Petionville and the Villa Creole also in Petionville are GREAT.

@jamesdalphonse What about you go shake some scope in your filthy mouth, why do people hate Haitians so much, even some black people this is sad. Is it because they own 99.9% of their country or b/c they fought for equality, or b/c they are strong people, or is it resentment, or b/c Haiti did not helped them fight their own war or just plain ignorant, no matter what the reason is, just get the fuck off their dick, they not concerned about you, just shut up.
and what is your point, the beaches were dirty how many beaches have you been, stop hating, critize, generalize, haiti used to be great, and I have great hope they will be again in spite of the US policy towards them
stop making ignorant comment, Google, search and learn. Google this (Haiti: Slave Revolution That Defeated Three Empires ) good luck
to kixxclub- you just argued with yourself.
to TerraceYouth- you have no right to say anything like that, to think that God would do evil and hurt his children.
