Beautiful and inspiring, thank you for posting. I wonder what the historical source for his life is. Not that I doubt that he was a tremendous saint and was martyred and some miracles might have occurred but there are elements to it that are hard to believe, like the widow's pillar turning into a tree, and maybe the storm...they just seem out of the norm of orthodoxy when it comes to miracles. I even heard Puhalo say that many of these lives of saints have fabrications in them.
@opajohann Yes, thats because they come from the same holy tradition and the same Church. But the Catholics are not in the true Faith according to holy Orthodoxy which is not corrupted like Rome has become with its clergy and innovations.
But I am sure there are many traditional Catholics are holy and become sharers in the divine nature just as we Orthodox do... But I don't think the Protestants share in the holy spirit nearly as much as they need to because they have no Sacraments.

@ThePaphnutius The one with the Nazi troops is hard to deny though. The saints do work miracles.

I do have to say that CATHOLICS too have a strong tradition of venerating and praying through the saints.

Now, would WE allow ourselves to suffer such abuse for Christ's sake? I can only hope I would!
