All jaguars are made with passion and soul unlike german cars which they make cars just because people want the badge. AND XJ IS BETTER THAN 7 SERIES when it comes to beauty.
Sorry guys but i once drove a customer from Connecticut to New York, and i drive 04 lexus ls 430 and this guy had this car parked in his driveway and he said that mine was smoother then the Jag.
I'm sure its smoother than a BMW too, if what you are looking for is a dead smooth non sporting car that you can go "fast" in then the LS 430 is great. I would say though the Jag is a classic and will out handle the LS.
Sorry to say this, a good a car the ls430, it's nowhere near as smooth as the XJ's air suspension. I can say this as I have driven both. I do actually now drive a 2007 XJ.
Hmm, if I was in charge of styling, it's likely I wouldn't have done the weird mouth thing at on the bumper.. looks a little stuck on. Personally, I would have extended the grill down to give a common look to the new XF and smoothed of the bonnet (hood) lines leading to the lights. I was working on a feasibilty six months ago and the results were quite pleasing. Anyway, despite the styling, it's a brilliant car to drive :)
A good looking car, go to the Autoexpress web site and look at the pictures on the new XJ concept, Stunning. I own an XJ-S and have owned several Jaguar /Daimler cars as well as a Mercedes and an Audi. Nothing but nothing holds a candle to a Jaguar, As Tina once said - simply the best.
They really don't hold their value but it worked out for me. I picked up an 03 XKR for a third of it's invoice price. The car has style unlike anything else out there...
It is sad how the 2002+ BMW 7 series holds value so well. Even though it is dated and butt ugly. Yet these timeless beauties can be bought for as low as $17K for an 04. Thats just about what an 04/05 Honda Accord goes for. Your pick, a four year old Accord of Jaguar XJ for the same money? I never understood the American used car market.
harrythomas is right, they depriciate really bad, but thats good if you want one and cant afford one new.If you wanted the 2004, the one before they restyled the front, you can find one for around $23,000 in the states. not bad.
Just in case someone at Jaguar is listening, the new C-XF looks like a SAAB from ALL angles - don't do it! Get an E-type, modernise it and presto! You need oval lights and an oval grille or it's not a Jag.
Don't worry mate, thye depreciate so fast you could have one in 2-3 years, I have an M reg that I can't get rid of for 1,000 ! But seriously these (used) are a bargain, and wonderful to drive.
The very same song is featured in Need For Speed Carbon!!! What's the name of it?

The new 2010 jaguar is so much better looking. this just looks old now, id be embarest being seen in that
joshieboi005 2 years ago
@joshieboi005 I'd be 'embarest' spelling like that. Perhaps Jaguars appeal to a more... educated clientelle.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Not really true at this moment. old Jaguars were made with passion, but new ones which looks like 99% other cars is not a Jaguar anymore
XJR Forever

The XJ is such a pretty car, a timeless classic, but yet it has some modern touches, the perfect blend.

Yes, that is probably true. But where is the passion in a dead smooth drive, its nice to feel the road!

Like wise man said: You'll never know 'till you have tried.
Now I have my own Jaguar XJ and I feel very satisfied with my new XJ. Now I told you that.

The song is Steamworks by The Presets - instrumental only, the lyrics seem to be courtesy of Jag.

Yep, I have a sport and I bumped my neighbor's car the first day I had it, it's either 'on' or 'off'. But the best car ever next to an E-type.
