Cool I guess, but they really need a way to have more than 10 shots in a clip, or have multiple clips without having manually change clips. The 10 shot goes almost as fast as a single shot, so if you miss, you'd have to switch clips? Seems worse than pumping off one at a time to me..

@giounds If you know what your doing, you can make a Glock fa with a butter knife and some epoxy. It works on the principle of those backplate selector switches. But its fa only, no setting for semi auto, so if you want to go back to 'civilian legal' you have to ditch the slide and buy a new one.

The example I gave was a crude conversion based on the concept used in the 'Fire Selector Switch Glock'. You have a small, thin piece of metal that disrupts certain internal parts making it go full auto. You cut the blade of the

butter knife to the correct proportions, then use the epoxy to fix it in place.

By 'ditch the slide' I meant get rid of the slide assembly, because it is a concrete piece of evidence that you have violated the NFA.

Here i go again! A compensator is usually a device attached to the barrel of the gun, with slotted vents in the top. It vents gas from a discharged bullet to be directed up and away from the gun. When a gun is fired the barrel has a tendency to climb from recoil, the vented gas helps push the gun back down on target and "compensates" for some of the recoil. In this case the compensator is built into the gun, notice the open hole in the top of the slide and the holes in the barrel.

You need a Class 3 license from the ATF ($200 for the license and $200 per gun). In order to buy one of these, your state has to allow Class 3 firearms, and you have to buy one that was made before 1986 from a private seller. These weapons are extremely rare in the United States, so I would expect to pay several thousand dollars for one at the least (assuming that you can even find one).

Yes the only Glock 18 is the Glock 18C all the 18's have a compensator on the top of the slide. They are identical, except for the compensator, the selector switch, and the cutout at the back.
