  • I think your review is pretty balanced and fair! @ the shredder part in the Black and White turtles portion, it actually was a homage to the fact that shredder was offed by the turtles in their first issue! He was actually a really small part of the turtles' story in the classics.

  • i think it sucks that the mirage shredder dies in the first issue of the original comic i think thats what they were trying to do with that scene.

  • The Mirage turtles were my favorite. They were bad ass!!

  • @brownmetal my fav too!

  • ya know i was reading a TMNT Fanfic on a website for TMNT fanfics... it had a rule: IF ANYONE WRITES ABOUT TURTLECEST, THEIR FANFIC WILL NOT BE POSTED... anyways I read this fic that was based off the Same As It Never Was Turtles... It explained how the Shredder's invasion started and the battle that made those Turtles the way they are... but that world's Donatello was killed, Mikey had his arm blown off , Leo was blinded by radioactive chemicals, and Raph was punctured in the eye by Shredder..

  • And the rest... U know, the tecnodrome gets stuck to an other dimension.

An other think I would like is the two splinters or the two aprils had met

(sorry I had to split my comment in 3 I couldn't uploaded entirety)

  • since ever the tecnodrome gets "Unstuck" from somewhere, in that case from the sea, it gets stuck to an other place, we could say that the shredder gets the tecnodrome out of the sea and his new plan is to create a mutant army, and Donatello tries to send the tecnodrome back to dimension X as this was his original plan in the originaly shredder triumphant.

  • 11:04 that's kind alike what I though. I mean for me the movie for the classic TMNT takes place in shredder triumphant, cause after this episode the tecnodrome was sent to dimension X without shredder and company. For the movie was an alternative:

  • Maybe the reason there was no Krang in the 2003 dimension was because all of the other utroms were at their dimension.

  • It wasn't just Donatello who threw the throwing stars. all of the 1987 turtles threw em. just pointing that out if you haven't already noticed.

  • the human rocksteady and human beebop was just cameos, if you looked around, about every human character there was from the first episode of the classic series.

and when it comes to the classic series, its probable that the turtles were teleported during season 6 timeline

  • I refuse to acknowledge this movie's existence...

  • There is an uncut DVD of Turtles Forever....released in the UK. So if you have a region free player, pick up the region 2 disk.

  • who is the Dude next to Rocksteady at 1:25. And i think 1:25 w/ Irma and Bebop and Rocksteady b4 they were mutated was prolly just an easter egg or a shoutout to the fans who remember the 1987 series

  • Not having the original voice actors in this movie is a bad idea by making this the last time we see the 1987 and the 2003 turtles.

and you know what im thinking I hope they re release this movie with all the cutscenes AND the original voice actors in it. well since Nickelodeon rushed on this movie I hope it doesnt rush on the new tmnt series thats coming out next year.

  • Original voice actors have signed a contract preventing them from ever voicing the turtles again under penalty of fine.

  • @whiteash002 But Rob Paulsen in voicing Donatello in the 2012 series.

  • @pannoni1 Not sure how that happened, to be honest!

  • or maybe turtles forever took place between season 4-7 for the 1987 turtles

  • 4kids have a policy about not hiring union actors

as for krang, bebop and rocksteady they were easteregss, ie not srs

  • Yeah, the classic turtles were gloofy, and the orginal actors weren't there, that were the two things that bugged me, still this was a good movie, also great video man.

  • if u watch the movie again tocka and razor are in it i seen ur intre thing about new tmnt vs old and u said takoa had to find razor off screen and it did happen in 1 scean their on the turtle van and in the 2k3 series before the technodrome rises from the ground u see a man wering a b bop shirt

  • You should really count the April and Casey kissing scene as an homage to the end of the first film. That is the only context it works in.

  • CAN YOU PLEASE DO A THINGY ON THE 2007 TMNT MOVIE!!!!!!

  • CAN YOU PLEASE DO A THING ON THE 2007 MOVIE!!!!!!!! :)

  • i mostly agree with you excapet all would not back down... but raph would be last to back down and it would be hard to pull him back oh and there glider would never crash like that

  • i mostly agree with you excapet all would not back down... but raph would be last to back down and it would be hard to pull him back

  • Actually the mirage Shredder dying was a reference to the fact that the Shredder in the comics was a minor villain, not the main villain. He appears twice in the comics and is killed off.

  • DoctorDrinkX10 Why exactly did you sort of cringe when the 2k3 Mikey said the classic Turtles blimp was a lame vehicle? Was it because of the line he used or was it something else?

  • Human Bebop and Rocksteady was just a sight gag.

  • I'd have to agree with the 80's turtles being so OOC. That was the thing that most annoyed me out of the whole movie, and the way the newer turtles treated them. Granted, I'm not as much of a fan of the 80's turtles as I am the newer ones, but even I knew that the older turtles wouldn't act that way. It was stupid. But I enjoyed this movie also. Thanks for the review~

  • (continued) to the real world and ends with him beating up the creator of the comic book, so they mightve thought the ending wouldnt be original enough

    3. the papercraft turtles look like skins of the turtles u can download for the computer game minecraft and whats funny is they both have the word craft in their names

  • 3 things

1.the reason i think the classic turtles are so goofy is because eastman and laird had a hand in making this movie and theyre known for not liking the 1987 turtles, so i think they made fun of the turtles by making them really silly

2.the reason i think they didnt make shredder go to the real world to destroy eastman and laird is because there was a fairly oddparents episode where the hero and villains from a comic book would come to ife and in one episode with them, the villain goes

  • Bebop and Rocksteady... greatest heroes in all of tmnt.

  • hmm, I think as for the nuggies, for some reason it reminds me of the annoyance of the the wet willies of the 3rd movie. as for the bebop rocksteady human thing... I just saw it as a cameo, since everything in that one scene seemed to of come from the first episode of the classic

  • @ForeverMutation I'm pretty certain about them getting that idea from the live action turtles, which is wrong when they're trying to mock the '87 ones. In the first movie Raph gives Mikey a noogie too, after he jokes about using Turtle Wax instead of massage ointment; "Funny Mikey!!"

And then of course they give continuous wet willies in part 3 like you said. One of the times '03 Mikey gets attacked in Turtles Forever they actually said wet willy instead of noogie time or whatever.

  • I honestly believe that if they made the classic turtles like the original first season, rather than the later seasons, they really would have done this movie justice. Once again 4kids dropped the ball...again.

  • @DoctorDrinkX10 u forgot to mention about when 2k3 rapheal trying 2 make a good impression 2 the mirage turtles by point their enicials on the classics belt buckles and if u ask me it was personal i hate the 2k3 turtles more then usual im glad the mirage raph crack his arm

  • I agree with you on this review. I also didn't like how they overplayed the Classic turtles stupidy

  • To tell you the truth i honestly expected the turtlesof the classic series getting mocked and ridiculed in this movie. 4kids and their writers are known for trashing other versions of their work such as the funimation version of one piece. I honestly think 4kids may have been trying to give their fandom more fodder to use against the classic series fans. That being said i have very little against the 2003 series due to my brother being a fan and the battle you have been running teaching me more.

  • well I would'nt blame you if you nitpick the crap out of this movie hell even Im still nitpicking the crap out of this movie still to this day. the writter's of 4kids got the classic turtles personallities, voices, gags such as constinly giving nuggies and behavors wrong except for 80's michaelangelo & raphael but 80's leonardo & donnetello are all wrong 4kids perposly trying to make the 80's turtles look crappy because after years of classic fans bashing the 2k3 series now its pay back from 4kids

  • i really did like this movie but yeah the 87 turtlse were a little stupid. they did tend to use thier enviroment agenst thier enimies though.

  • 4:08 ha ha! Good joke, man!!

  • The continuity is all wrong in this movie. Why not attact the movie for it..Everyone attacts the star wars prequal for not matcjing to the old trilogy.

  • about Bebop and Rocksteady in human form, i see it as an inside joke/treat for classic fans, as the movie is full of them. and the quick death of Mirage Shredder i think was poking fun at how he died so fast in the "prime" universe, but remains a huge bad guy in every other turtles universe.

  • from what i found out, the Turtles Forever DVD was discontinued after the moth of it's release. This might mean that Viacom is going to rerelease it the right way *crosses fingers*

  • Well dude MAYBE the dark ang gritty TMNT comic world I think might be too much for them since there from the light-hearted, family-friendly series! But maybe dude, Maybe.

  • Same here. If I were you, I would send an email to Viacom to request, nay, demand to release an uncut version of Turtles Forever with 9 minutes of scenes restored, including how Karai got into the Technodrome.

  • By the way, I strongly recommend buying the DVD because if you want the uncut version that badly, buy it to ensure it'll happen. Trust me.

You do not want the uncut to suffer the same fate as the rest of Gargoyles S2. Let me put it to you this way, there's no vol two of season 2 of Gargoyles because the fans were stupid not to buy enough copies as a result, the sales were low.

And this is coming from a fan of the show and TMNT. I'm buying it, I like the movie and I need to ensure it.

  • You have to understand as to how they reacted to the Mirage Turtles and Mega Sized Utrom Shredder that the situation was out of their league that it was too much for them. Keep in mind, they faced off against a lot of goofy in the original series that a deranged murderous alien wanting to kill them personally would have them scared.

  • the marash shredder was just for fun i laughd whem they beat him

  • I like this, and will buy it, but honestly you make a lot of points.

  • I think we can rest easy knowing that Bebop and Rocksteady probably somehow wreck the Technodrome 2 when they get back to their adventures in the classic universe

  • did you notice the cameo of toca and razar they jump on the vehicles i thought

that was pretty interesting because they looked more scarier and buffer than there movie

    counterparts

  • I thought the comic shredder cameo was just a spoof on how brief his role was in the comic

  • My english is not very good... don't know if you said it on the video, but when the "original comic book" Shredder appears is the same pose and dialogs as the # 1 issue. In that comic, Raph says him "Shredder, do you fear us?", then he appeared in the same pose and says "Come and face your doom". In the movie he can say "doom" when he recieve the trash of the "newer" turltes, and then the Utrom Shredder says "come and face your doom". Good details !

  • I loved how the old Shredder and Krang kept acting like the Utrom Shredder's annoying little brothers, in a way becoming his Rocksteady and Bebop for a time. As for those two, there's a reason I loved them more than I loved old Shredder and Krang from the cartoon. I especially liked the cracks the made at the respective worlds. Such as exploding robots, the "father" question, yellow jumpsuit, multicolored headbands and sellouts.

  • As far as human Bebop, Rocksteady and even Irma are concerned, the writers of this movie probably thought that no one (primarily kids who are only fans of the 03 series) would care.

I recognized them all right away, seeing as how I grew up with the 87 cartoon. I was just confused as to why human Bebop and Rocksteady were there.

I'm surprised Burne Thompson and Vernon Fenwick didn't appear. They would've hated to see 8 turtles, am I right?

I was also surprised to not see 87 Casey Jones.

  • @Nicksolo85 I guess they didn't have enough to put all the characters from both shows, lol. Yeah, it would have been funny to see Burne and Vernon

  • @DoctorDrinkX10 I guess human Bebop and Rocksteady were just homages. If you watch first episode of classic series carefully and then watch 1989 dimension scene from Turtles Forever, you'll notice many characters and scenery from it.

  • @DoctorDrinkX10 At least we saw Irma in that film

  • @DoctorDrinkX10 Could have been an 'easter egg' for the sharper eyed older fans who would have actually recognized them.

  • @Nicksolo85

No offensive but... Fuck Burne Thompson and Vernon Fenwick!!

Burne Thompson is a fat corrupted man and Vernon Fenwick is just as Gay as Rupaul!

  • They rushed the DVD released? (ala Timmy Turner's Dad) VIACOM!

  • I personally can't stand the old TMNT anymore, so I don't mind they were making fun of them. The new TMNT is superior anyway!

  • I feel the same way about this, so may things left unanswered.

  • When Krang Burped: LMFAO!!!!

  • The mirage shredder being made trivial is forgiven- the point is, after all, to reinvigorate the threat of the utrom Shredder, and they pulled it off beautifully.

  • Great review. I not nearly a strong turtles fan as you, but your critique was well thought out and inventive. Perhaps mirage shredder being killed off so quickly was in homage to as you said in you versus review, the shredder dying in only a few issues. Also, I guess the little quirk about what happens after just wasn't important for filmmakers, as this was a movie showcasing turtle interactions, and rebuilding wasn't important for them. Oh well, the movie still rocked. thanks for your thoughts

  • I just saw it before watching this and thought it was a pretty awesome movie. Seeing the old turtles even if not 100% similar took me back to the good ol days of TMNT. I think they should make another movie like this with the old turtles going in time or something.

  • Why'd you remake this into one video?

  • @MarkC18 This was the first one. Before he had to split it apart.
