  • Yeah there really great sounding machines, i got one given to me (IC 4400) just a few weeks ago and it was great, however the motor has burnt out so now im on the search for a new motor to bring her back to life.

    Great video thanks Richard

  • Hi Richard,

I really appreciate your video on this machine. I just won a similar machine (also the UHER 4000 L, but the one I got looks like it has been banged up a bit) on E-Bay. I wanted to get an idea of what is involved in restoring such a machine, and your video is spot on and tells me what I need to know! Including that Web site by Tim Smith!

So thanks for the video, very clear and informative. I hope my E-Bay find will be as nice as yours is.

I have just a very nice leather case on ebay for a song and it will clean up well - so you need to keep looking. I also picked up a Uher 400L mic so the set is complete.

    Regards

    Richard

  • Hello Richard,

Great job on the videos, especially the Uher 4000. I also appreciate the plug for my web site and belt instructions. I have a proposition for you if you are up to the challenge. I still have about 40 model 4400 Stereo Report Monitor machines that I plan to continue selling on eBay when I have time later this summer. I am will to donate at least two randomly selected untested machines which may or may not work but should be possible to comine parts from both. (See part 2)
