you're totally correct about that. Judges mainly focus on the historical content. If a video doesnt have hundreds of visual effects, but has accurate, detailed historical content, and informative analysis, it is much more worthy of winning a competition. This video was outstandingly done, and the judges could clearly see the great amount of research done on this topic.
Solarx Wind, this clearly took a lot of effort. I think it was a very deserving winner. And I have a feeling that the judges are more qualified to decide who the winner is.
This is actually the fourth version of our project (as well as doing on for all the HD levels, we did one for the school level) and, as you can imagine, our project evolved and improved over each competition. So, no, it wasn't anything like this. (:
We were able to use footage from several Sir Edmund Hillary documentaries that had been made, as well as some clips off of the internet. Sadly, we didn't go to Nepal....(:

i'm sorry if this is offensive,
but to be honest, this documentary isn't that great...
the seattle fire documentary from 2007 i think was a much more deserving winner of NHD.

Wow, this is really good! My friends and I are doing NHD this year and we were wondering how many sources you had?
SuperflyThree 2 years ago
We had around 43 sources. Our bib was 8 pages long. Most of those were primary sources. Those are always a good idea.
