  • @Jinny12341 The names of the 2 songs are in the above description. The composer of the songs are not on the cd, so unknown to me.

  • perfect horse riding music lol

  • Who dislike this tune is a fool.

  • @taevara1 this music is renaissance-y alright. it reminds me of Ren Fest. :P

  • @bleedingmascara244 I never said it was, I was just making reference to the 'original' punk movement. The best one ;-)

  • Sounds like old Michael!

  • awesome music!

  • Needs a mesa boogie on guitar.

  • Is this composition by Michael Praetorius?

  • @STELLARW

It has some similarities to Spagnoletto by Cesare Negri, but I haven't been able to find an attributed composer by searching what's given in the description. If there is an attributed composer and it's not been listed intentionally, that's just bogus....

  • This music helps to tickle my passion for things of old time. lol :D And now we shall all see that here this magnificient piece of music shall light the spark within our brains so that we can unlock the laughter that protrudes out of our mouths. thankyou * thankyou*

  • This is wonderful! Delightful to say the least - authentic as well. Where is this "Renaissance Village" located? England? The Cotswalds? Charming!

  • jajajja, que divertidos son los mendigos entre el 3:14 y el 3:24, buena musica

  • isnt it amazing that you can take music from so long ago, put it onto the computer, and then onto a website so that everyone can enjoy it? Isnt it crazy how the world changes, and yet we still come back to those things we didnt get the pleasure of hearing/seeing/loving.

  • I like it :)

  • This is great. Some people call medieval music primitive, but to me this sounds quite complex. The harmony amongst all the instruments is beautiful. This is timeless, yet quite clearly medieval. It's been about 700 years since music like this was written and it still is enjoyable to listen to.

  • @hervye66 This is renaissance, medieval was the period before this stuff.

    Medieval (500 - 1400)

    Renaissance (1400 - 1600)

    Punk Rock (1975 - 1980)

Rap (1980 - Hopefully sometime soon)

  • @Coppertunes whahaha XD

  • @Coppertunes well said, can't stand that nigger shit

  • @Coppertunes hahahahaha i pray today :P

  • @Coppertunes Hating rap is stupid. I don't think I've ever run into someone with a legitimate reason to hate rap.

  • @vaguelyhumanoid Who said I hate it ?

  • @vaguelyhumanoid it has no real meaning other than getting drunk and 'having fun' with random girls. There is nothing legitimate to LIKE about rap music.

  • @ijustwanttocomment21 Haha, what an ignorant comment. One of the first things that drove rap was politics.

  • @MultiFunkalicious Ok, back then maybe... now? Not so much. Try any 'popular' rap artist and see if they have any political stuff in their 'music.'

  • @ijustwanttocomment21 That's a fair comment, your original basically slated the whole genre, 'rap' doesn't really exist (popular-wise). The chart music all sounds the same.

  • @Coppertunes Rock (1990-2000) :'(

  • @TheAndiePerson

When the hell were you born? Rock didn't start in 1990.

  • @funstuff2006 1990

  • @Coppertunes LMAO!

  • @Coppertunes why some time soon? theres nothing fucking wrong with rap...

  • @Coppertunes

re: Rap (1980 - Hopefully sometime soon)

With shining talent like Lil' Wayne and Nicki Minaj at the forefront of mainstream rap, it can't be long now. :-D

  • @Coppertunes o.o wasn't it

    Medieval (450 - 1450)

    Renaissance (1450 - 1600)

    Baroque (1600 - 1750)

    Classical (1750 - 1820)

    Romantic (1820 - 1900)

    and modern songs (1900 - I don't know when)

  • @CeriseValkyrie this seems a bit more legit :p

  • @Coppertunes Actually, thanks to bands like Blackmore's Night, the music of the medieval and renaissance times are making a bit of a comeback

  • What instruments are in this peice?

  • @Sophsbabey1 These are almost definitely Krumhorns with perhaps a Curtle (ancient bassoon) on the bottom, but it could be a bass or contrabass Krumhorn. Very little else sounds like this, unless you pull the chanter off of a set of bagpipes.

  • do you know the names of the instruments?

  • The melody is awesome but the instruments sound like a cheap keyboard...

  • Is this the music used at the beginning of the miniseries done in the 70s, "The Six Wives of Henry VIII?"

  • this sux

  • @Taevara1 Can you tell me the instrument that is played in the fore front?

  • @debrastanton69 i think its the panflute, not 100% sure tho.

  • Thank you everyone for the comments! :-)

  • this sounds like the music that shows up somtimes in harry potter movies :)

  • @Victoria0Smith Really? I will pay attention to it the next time I see one of the movies!

  • @Taevara1 Yes, I think John Williams' "Hagrid the Professor" from the Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban score was made to sound like this type of music.

  • @Taevara1 Yes, I think John Williams' "Hagrid the Professor" from the Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban score was made to sound like this type of music.

  • @Taevara1 Yes, I think John Williams' "Hagrid the Professor" from the Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban score was made to sound like this type of music.

  • @ihope127 I heard it! Friday it was on tv! :-)

  • @Victoria0Smith The music in the Harry Potter movies is English Folk, I believe. This is music that would be played in gatherings of nobles or at a feast for a king or queen. This is "court music". Music like this was usually composed and played by trained musicians. English Folk, or folk in general, was usually played on any available instruments and "by ear". FYI :)

  • @Victoria0Smith , it's actually the other way around.

  • I don't like the video, though, there's an air of playacting in them. These times cannot be 'recreated' so I like to just listen to the music and imagine for myself.....I think medieval paintings or the like make more sense for a video

  • Excellent!!!

  • i have to listen to this song for my project -.-

  • This would be great for my Renaissance Project!:)

  • @heavnnnsent

It would actually be probably more like 1599 or earlier. 1699 is around the beginning of the Baroque era....I realize the point of your comment was not to be accurate, but hey, I'm a classical musician, what can you expect?

  • @HannahXIV

This music dates more from about the late 15th Century to the mid 16th Century.

The late 1500's, about 1580 on, saw the very beginnings of Baroque Opera: Claudio Monteverdi's "Orfeo" being performed in 1605. The Baroque period started in Italy but it still took about another 30 years to reach the Northern countries. My favorite period in music history.

  • love it

  • wonderful!

  • lovely
