You can also just drag the Music folder itself onto the music section of the itunes library and, instead of opening up the iTunes Music folder and dragging the folder in, you can just check "copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library". Just to save some time.

@IRISHSKILLZz I had the same issue and researched it. apparently with the newer gen of iPod, you cannot do this (any touch or iPhone). his method only works for previous gens. sorry. try syncing your library to a lesser version, like a nano or classic. :)

@Jayshul1slam ok scratch that; I don't know what happened, but they all have "!" beside them again. Does this mean you can't burn CDs???

@Jayshul1slam you are able to listen to them in iTunes after the transfer. In the tutorial at 4:48-5:00 when it is showing you how to change the properties and you uncheck "Hidden", you can also unselect the "Read-only" box that is filled in blue. You will then be able to listen to your files in your library. I figured this out after making the transfer, unfortunately, so I had to do double work. Before I had an "!" beside all of my songs, I now just have the song listed.

Too long IMO. All I did was, go into my computer, Ipod, and un-hide the "Ipod Control" and "music" folders. Then go to Itunes and add "music" folder to library. All the copy paste is time consuming and unnecessary.

You guys may be clicking on the wrong hidden files folder, I had to search a little harder for the show hidden files folder because I had the same problem you guys did, and I'm not using windows vista on this computer. Mine was located under organize, folder and search options, the "view" tab, show hidden folders. there is a show all folders on a "general" tab that I tried first and didn't work. I dunno though, sorry ya'll are having trouble :-(
