If you wanna check new material brands i suggest you lineasecondaria. it. Is not really famous, but makes some good looking material for decent price. I think he put some decades of terrain making knowledge in those so you would analize them better than i can.
btw i'm not the guy so i don't get a cent from this suggestion, but i started to use them products mainly for avaiability issues of mainstreem brands, and never got disappointed even if their lineup isn't WS large XD
You mention the quality of the trees, now I do paint all of mine, I find it a huge disappointment the finished woodland scenic trees do not come painted. If you like those you can get much larger sets of WS trees pre-made, but I tend not to because they are too hard to paint with the foliage on them.
@TheTerrainGuy Yeah, painting after the fact is really a no go. I have purchased their bulk premade trees, but I can't really tell if its worth it as I have to rebuild them so extensively.
Hello Michael, those Heki products looks quite good for their price - would you be able to give some details on where to buy and which models those boxes are? This is something that my local gaming clubs might appreciate as those two boxes would be enough to fill out a few tables worth of terrain at a reasonable cost - plus the quality and durability seems good for regular play.
@falknerblitz I think they would serve you well. I purchased them through Scenic Express. You will have to search through their ready made tree section. Searching for Heki will help you find them more quickly. (Their site can be a little tricky if you don't know where to look.) If you have trouble finding them, send me a message and I will see if I can send you the link.
Nice review. I haven't seen the Heikis before, and will be skipping those now, so you saved me some dollars. I will have to start using hot glue on my trees, I am having foliage drop issues with my Woodland Scenics clump foliage not staying put.
@schadavi Oh, I hadn't thought of either of those reasons. Thanks for mentioning them. I would love to work a summer there. :) And thank you for the product code. I don't see it offered in the US so I may need to have some shipped from Europe.
@cplR3yk1ng Crap. :) That was an accident. My software has been crazy buggy and I had to re-edit the video like 4 times or something. It slipped through. Glad you liked the look behind the scenes.

I could see the small Heki trees being used for thick hedge rows. Or dense terrain piece going up a hill. Just a thought. Good video.

woodland scenics make a spongey flock like that in a couple of different shades

@elementalchemy Nothing with that same cell structure in the foam. The WS foam is finer cells and grind from what I have purchased.

Just sacrifice one of the trees to fill in the others.

@scubaguymi It can be a problem. Hot glue is the way to go. Takes a bit of care to make sure it doesn't show. Good luck.

Look up "Heki 1561" for extra "leaf material"
The lower branches are cut off to make traffic below them easier. Plus, old trees in the middle of a forest look like that.
And they really are 100% german products, they even make their flocking themselve - i had a summer job there last year.
Oh, and you pronounced Heki perfectly - for an American ;-)
