  • everyday people

  • Aye when did we lose this vibe, this originality, this uniqueness of expression?

  • My heart stayed in the 90's :)

  • @ync96 Jews destroyed hip hop after the 90s. They have blacks blaming the south & north. But jews run it now.

  • @Molossian whatthefuckareyoutalkingabout

  • @ync96 yes :)

  • I love how artist in the early 90s didn’t rap to glorify house, cars, and material things. They used their voice to tell a story and spread a message!

  • @nickelwindow53 This complaint is getting OLD! Quit blaming rap! It's ALL mainstream music that glorifies materialism now, not just rap so get a clue. Blame the big corporations for ruing pop music because they are the real culprits who commercialized everything.

  • @cheapcape no. its the individual artist. Big corporations were around at this time also, why werent they running music then?...Thank about it. Artist mindsets have changed.

  • 7 people aren't everyday people.

  • CAN SUMONE PLS TELL ME WHT HAPPENDED 2 THE POSITIVE MESSAGE N MUSIC 2 DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @lennymac100 Thank you for saying MUSIC instead of RAP, much more accurate! ALL mainstream music garbage now thanks to corporate standards.

  • @cheapcape Nd ny man cuse u already knw......THE MESSAGE IS ALWAYS N THE MUSIC NOT THE RAP:}

  • i know a lot of gangster rappers that rap about sellin drugs and shootin niggas and stuff but they also can give off positive messages...

Scarface? Bushwick Bill? Bun B? Andre 3000? Devin the dude? yea they all old acts. they still got a lot of gangsta rap songs, but they got some inspirational stuff too.

  • @MelvinWren Point well taken my brotha......On the old skool tip u can add KRS One....Public Enemy....Brand Nubian.....Tribe Called Quest.....Gangstar....Eric B n Rakeem....Wu Tang Clan...Poor Righteos Teachers n The Last Poets......N the end ur 100 on message u've put out there....keep tht vibe 4 real!!!!1

  • @lennymac100 yea sorry those are all awesome too and same goes for them. the dirty south is always left out so i tried to mention the ones i felt should be mentioned with my previous post.

  • @MelvinWren Nd, definately a good look on ur prt...positive rap is not just limited 2 NYC......reppin the BK...Bed-Stuy ....I'm a little byest....@ the end of the day it's all good...Thnx 4 the thoughtful insite...One Luv

  • its a shame from a decade where music was so prominent from that same epic era is the same time it jumped off a bridge and no body bothered saving it we just look back at it corpse hanging there ts dead skin and bones swinging in the wind in through the feild of memories.never forgotten . R.I.P music.

  • @Steve... Wow, talk about the "pot calling the kettle BLACK"... LOL.... Ur comment was hypocritical, foolish and racist... But I'm sure u knew that when u posted it!

  • LOL @Esharp you should change your

    name to Alsharpton2009. Ignorance will

always fuel racism and you my friend are

a shining example of that. Thank you for

not only proving my point but showing

showing how racism in this country will

continue to thrive. Awesome song though :)

  • @goofball... U definitely lived up to ur name with that comment... He used the "N" word in reference to the nature in which many people of African descent, act: IGNORANT! Much like yourself... LOL

  • I DO SOUL SIR

  • Hey, show ya right!!

  • Hey, show ya right!!

  • oh yes. I loved AD. Their new material is ok but I still long for the old stuff they used to do. This group really changed me. I stopped permming my hair and grew my dreds down to the middle of my back. I love this group. I especially love that song natural. It's so refreshing to know that there are so many men out there that love natural women.

  • This was one of the groundbreaking songs that had more meaning to it then just something you groove to. It was inspirational to some folks to change their perception on life. I'm part the rare breed of men, who prefer with with, "natural beauty".

  • so agreeing

  • Right, on!!

  • Those of us who lived in the 80s or 90s oten said, "Music was better in the 60s". People often think the grass is greener in the past.

  • On the other hand, taking pop[ular music] as an example, The Beatles were better than Abba, Abba were better than Madonna, Madonna is better then Britney Spears, who is propably better than the a**shaking 'vocalists' nowdays. Paler shade of green, my friend.;)

  • dont you dare compare the beatles to abba lol

  • the 90's were the greatest ever

  • @nosympathyskates I was 14 in 1990 and I agree it was the best era to grow up in

  • @nosympathyskates

    early 90's hellyeah !!

  • @geoff72geoff

    oh yea

  • word

  • how does it come, that whenever someone puts an old video from the past into youtube, everyone is thinking: Presentday is shit, in the past everything was cooler, better , funnier, and so on (me included)... what a shitty time we live in TODAY!!!

  • The best period to live were the 80's until the 90's , man must these years have been nice...

  • because we are living in the post modern. There is nothing new only the past repeating, nothing fresh. Look back on the "00's" I dont see any common identity or specific subcultures.

But I also think its on us to make the "10's" a period ppl will look back to and say:"back then everything was better..."

so stay creative, active and positive :)

  • it just in our Nature Complaining about everything if we wouldnt complain the World would be THE MOST BORING PLACE IN THE UNIVERSE!
