Joan jett is the best female guitarist who exists, and she was the soul of the Runaways, only Joan Jett excels herself to if same in every version, I like Lita but it is not possible to compare with the queen.
Totally agree , that is why she was the only one of the Runaways to have a steady career with smashing hits. Lita was is more por, Joan remained true to her rock essence. It is a pity that she dint succeed more comercially, and on the charts , my guess is she played in a 95% or more Male field, so she didnt get her deserved credit. For me she is on a par with what Madonna did in Pop.
@nandodiez Joan might be pretty cool about the support but I don't think she'd appreciate the crown - she's a simple rhythm guitarist by choice and identity - she never wanted to be a high skill guitarist, just someone who did something simple, something she wanted, and let that be enough to rock the world
@rayjmama I agree with you... Lita added the "hard rock/metal" guitar... (which I prefer)... I'm not knockin Joan Jett... but I think Lita is a better guitar player... They are from two different types of rock though...
joan jett is 50 years old and still looks as good as she ever did if not better seen her a couple years ago and she was awesome i think she was my first real crush and would have to say thats lasted a long time .......lol
Thanks much for the reply, I have seen Joan live backstage and I know she really rocks when she is performing so I was super confused, she is amazing to see live if ever you get the chance don't pass it by it is well worth seeing, she is aweomse, it blows my mind though you know she still looks the same after all these years, she hasn't aged or anything she is one gorgous gal and nope it isn't due to any crap she has never had anything like that done of that I am sure,
I have seen her live many x's and she still looks the same, however to my knowledge she hasn't ever had any work done, she is one lucky lady she is just gorgous naturally! Nobody can take it away from her, and for her age she is still looking like she did 30yrs ago, true, and she seems to get better with age just like fine wine!!!!
