All the kids had talent, but Martika was far and away the most talented vocalist and performer of the group. Once she left, the show was never the same, IMO.

Why are the songs on KI about half the length of the original version?

They sang five songs an episode from seaosn 2 on..If they sang all the songs all the way thru that's twenty minutes already..no more room for a story line.

They were definetly lip synching. Renee makes some mistakes towards the end and her voice is singing, but she forgets to lip it. They always lip synched except at their Knotts Berry Farm performance.
