@RussakStudios Well if your gun is brand new run your dwell at 14ms and keep it there for 4-5 cases. You might want to consider purchasing a thinner lube. Try techt gun sav. I haven't had stick since i used it.

@pntballer4life01 don't buy that gun if you haven't yet. you'll be disappointed later on down the road. i had nothing but problems with it. it's an unsafe gun and would kick in full auto right after screwing the tank in. plus more things.

do you have a spool valve?

If so, that means that the amount of pressure in you lpr and hpr are unequal. You need to raise the pressure in your lpr and that should suck the bolt into the back position

after the first shot, the o-rings don't mold into the plastic of the gun again. thus you don't need the extra kick cause the o-rings are free of the crevices.

degas the gun remove bolt check all orings and replace if needed, relube bolt, clean breech as best as you can, make sure eyes are clean, make sure they work, try turning off eyes and shoot gun with single ball aired up. If it fires the eyes are dirty or broken if not then contact empire

This usually does mean your first shot may be a little hot. The refs will usually make you shoot your marker over the chrono several times just to make sure you're not truly shooting hot.

Dentents are to stop the ball from rolling down the barrel or double feeding. The eyes make sure the ball is in the chamber before the gun fires. so it will not be sliced in half by the bolt. so if ur having chopping problems then clean your eyes. and lukeline, please do some research before you go mis-informing newer players.

i've never had fsdo that bad in my shocker, it usually just ends up in a shot that's lower in velocity than the rest. That, and it usually only occurs if you haven't shot your gun in a while because you let your lube sit and settle for a while. never have i heard of a problem because of its orings. What would be the difference between shooting the gun the first time from the second according to your sticktion theory

probably not...ions are bad - dont buy one. I got 5 uses out of mine until it broke. I kept it cleaned, lubed, etc. The ions have 3 fittings that screw into the body of the gun and they need to be airtight to work. Well, the body of my ion where one of the fittings screws in got stripped so no pressure... And Smart Parts doesnt have a very good warranty...at all.

i got a 04 shocker and yes it has major first shot drop off but it doesn't get stuck in the barrel, instead of the velocity being 290 to 300 fps its at around 170 fps for the first shot then its around 250 fps then your good

Had this problem with a DM4. Air it up.. turn it on and when you went to the pull the trigger it would just poof like it kinda fired..but not really. I think it did shoot a ball out though but every shot after it would be fine. Replaced all the rings and still did it. Ended up being the solinoid. It wasn't cycling like it should. Replaced and it was good to go. Wondering if doing better maintence with bolts and keeping them well lubed would help that. Just not over lubing.

wouldn't the extra couple miliseconds of dwell from the anti-bolt-stick give a velocity spike on that first shot? or could they potentially do that? i was helping my friend work on his gun, and when we adjusted the dwell 4 or 5 miliseconds higher than the normal setting we got a 20+ fps spike in velocity. it sounds like i'm misunderstanding something, because i'm sure these companies aren't making dangerous settings on their boards.

ABS essentially raises the dwell to compensate for FSDO. FSDO make the bolt stick, almost cutting your first shot velocity in half. Because of FSDO, in many guns, the first shot either rolls out, or gets stuck because the velocity is so low. ABS increases the dwell,increasing the air charge volume,and therefore increases the FPS of the first shot or two, so it's louder the first shot because the velocity is 10-15FPS higher to overcome FSDO.
