  • jimmy white reminds me of edward scissorhands

  • Nice....check this.

    /watch?v=ZGpfrsHGi0I

  • Love how the game is based on ball colouring, and you couldn't even see the colours when it's televised ... well back then :P

  • ridiculous, Jimmy you are a legend!!

  • massive piqué if you ask me, not a massé

  • @timen1986 NO ONE ASKED YOU, DICKHEAD...

  • Arguably the best shot ever. ps i think this is the 2nd time ive commented on the video.

  • Greatess player ever..end of

  • Comment removed

  • Massééééééééééééé!

  • thats a classic ...jumper

  • Without a doubt the best snooker shot ever... the amount of great shot compilation videos I've seen that have this one missing, those idiots

  • WTFT

  • Whats with the guy at 0.19 on the bottom right in the blue shirt lol. He looks like hes having a fit.

  • where can i find the whole match?

  • not that good i would of potted the brown

  • Wołkowski can do that. ;)

  • 0:17 Down right corner, purple t-shirt guy. Somebody please make a gif of that!

  • @Lascalla LOL

  • @Lascalla nobody in the whole audience is wearing a t shirt

  • horrible camera-work...worst-timed close-up ever

  • FUCK !!!!

  • couldn't he have just aim at the far cushion??

  • @imichaeloo9 yeah but hes a showman like higgins was

  • @imichaeloo9 no hes jimmy white.

  • What a nice smile he made at the end.. And the shot, it was just amazing!!

  • greatest player to have not won the world championship

  • I watched the game on TV. When Jimmy sat down on the table I tougth "what a misserable bastard". Those massé shots are relatively easy, but this level of precision is just adorable.

  • It's actually an easy shot if you find a table where you can practice masse. But I don't think I would be able to do it under pressure, not to mention Mr. White's potting skills.

  • world class... best player to never have won the world champioship! TOP MAN!!

  • @ExtremeWrestlingKid ┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐

    did you 4get stephen hendry?

  • 9 retarded people watched this video.

  • So in snooker you don't have to contact a rail after your object ball?

  • @ddub1003 No, you can play it as soft as you like as long as you hit the ball on.

  • @ddub1003 Not if it's "total snooker", which only exists in 7 foot pool (English).

  • Best shot ever. I think.

Just imagine all the ripped cloths in snooker halls up and down the country after this shot was broadcast.

  • lol 0.19, Guy with the video camera!

  • John Higgins, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan and Jimmy White are probaly the best players ever

  • @ExtremeWrestlingKid

why would you include john higgins and not stephen hendry?

  • @zenitius oh yeah and stephen hendry

  • fucking great shot, but has 9 dislikes. i'm assuming that was because of david vines sweater

  • @beatlebum1000 lololololololol very vey witty my friend,,, lol

  • @nosebuzz cheers buddy :)

  • my brain says = WTF

  • For this guy it's piece of cake.

    For everybody else, it's snooker.

  • Bottom left at 0:19 That guy is Having a good time!

  • @maczster

guy on the bottom right looks like he's about to jizz in his pants.

  • @scartledgefb Oh i meant bottom right, lol.

  • gay

  • The cue ball is definitely allowed to jump in snooker before and after hitting the target ball, so long as it does not jump over a ball. Otherwise, every other shot played would give 4 points away due to kicks off the cloth.

  • crazy man

  • sick shot fantastic

  • Genius

  • There are 22 points left on the table and Jimmy was 36 points ahead, why would Ronnie still taking a shot after? 0:18

  • @tengichadc in league there is an aggregate point system, so every point can be critical, even if you dont win the frame. Week before last my team won the aggregate and thus the match (it was 3 for 3 in frames) by 4 points.

  • @tengichadc Maybe it was best of 7. If Jummy fouls 4 times, that would be 16 points at least, then it would be 20 points ahead, 22 on table.

  • omgossshhhh!!!! awesome shot!

  • I honestly thought masses were illegal in snooker.

  • @MacManLtd Masses are illegal in snooker due to the priest getting in the way.

  • I would not say it was cool - I'd say it was pretty HOT!!

  • has this ever came up in pro snooker since?

  • @dougiepoolable There's another video on Youtube of Peter Ebdon using a similar shot against Liang Wenbo. I've never seen it happen on TV, though. I believe it's quite rare for it to be an appropriate shot to play, and even rarer that a player has the balls to have a go at it.

  • thats what I call an amazin trick shot!!! well done jimmy!!

  • our young un was with him last week at english institute of sport and got me his autograph and since then i'm playing like i'm 18 again - cheers jimmy

  • how can there be 8 dislikes - there's some muppets around !

  • much skill

  • moved the green?

  • great

  • I think the guy in the crowd (bottom right) is far too excited. xD

  • Brilliant shot

Jimmi White after all these years......sometimes he realy is THE MAN!

  • Monster of a shot !!!

    Absolutely amazing ;)

  • david vine RIP

  • amazing!!!

  • Fuckin amazing

  • CHEAK OUT MY NEW SNOOKER VIDEOS please rate, comment and suscribe me it will be much appreciated

  • nah fcuk that u cunt...

  • He couldn't have just kicked it two cushions.

  • haha look at the guy at 0:20 in the botten right corner he seems to be a little over-excited ^^

  • @footballskillz77 wow checking out all the dudes...nice one

  • Bravo!!!

  • what a shot

  • can't find any snooker players nowaday can play this kind of magic shot

  • I really love masse shots. To pull it off really gives you such great satisfaction & it clearly shows on Jimmy's face as he soaked up the applause. The same with Steve Davis when he played 1 to get out off a snooker while representing England in a world cup match. But it also can make 1 look really stupid when its a botched attempt. Alex Higgins attempted it twice in awkward situations against Davis & couldnt even get the ball to move. He really looked like an idiot that time.

  • In slow mo balls jump all over the place + hard to tell what is a push. Regardless this is the best masse of all time in a match IMO. This was the Matchroom league in the round robin, they played 8 frames - for whatever reason - it played in Germany - for whatever reason - and it ended up 4-4. I saw this live in a pub in Bristol in 1993, he won the Matchroom League beating McManus in the final. I would have given him the trophy after this shot + saved everyone the time.

  • wow amazing,jimmy fucking white!!

  • I thought in snooker the cue ball is not allowed to jump up? I saw the cue ball jump up a bit, aint it a fault?

  • @bqminh1983 No, only if it jumps _over_ a ball. And, even then, it's OK to jump over other balls after the first ball has been hit.

  • @darrzo I thought it was a foul if the white jamp above the height of any other ball, regardless if its over another ball or over clear space.

And yeah after the white makes contact with a ball then the white and any other ball can do whatever they like as long as all balls end on the table or in a pocket.

On one occasion (in a league pool match however) the white went clear off the table on the break, hit the wall, bounced back onto the table and broke up the pack without fouling.

  • @darrzo I don't think the referee (or what they are called) says anything if it wasn't on purpose. Have seen a jump-over-ball-shot without the referee taking action.

  • @bqminh1983 y can't ppl like you appreciate it instead of moaning?

  • @bqminh1983 that is not jump my friend ;) this is a amezing shot good verry good

  • @bqminh1983 idiot

  • @bqminh1983 its not a fault... its only a fault if the ball jumps high over another ball.

  • @bqminh1983

No, it's a foul if you jump an object ball.

  • @bqminh1983 The cue ball jumps up on almost every shot. Put a nickel on the table in front of the cueball and hit a normal follow shot with medium speed and the cueball will jump over the nickel and not touch it.

  • maybe the session ended 4-4 but the match can't end in a draw obviously...

  • Doesn't the black ball get respotted in the event of a draw?

  • I mean 1st to 5 would win, your comments getting me all muddled up now, you seem sure but ive never ever heard of a snooker match ending in a draw lol perhaps im wrong :o/

  • @CarpMagic95 It was a league match where they played 8 frames. Draws were possible.

  • @darrzo ... arr right ok i didnt know that, dont watch league matches, i just watch it every now n then when its an important one like the final cos its a nice excuse to give the missis to as why i so badly need to be down the club/bar. Laters mate

  • how can a match end a draw? lol darrzo, its the best of an odd number, meaning say 9.. so first to 4 would be the winner, how can a match end 4.4?

  • @CarpMagic95 In the Snooker Premiere League there can be draws

  • Jimmy White is a legend!

  • I attempted to play this shot last week at my local snooker club. Mine was a slightly harder shot but i still managed to his the ball! The only downside was that fact that i was playing snooker naked from the waist down, which was unfortunate because as i played the masse shot, i suddenly farted and shit on the side of the table near the middle pocket.

  • @MrHorraceCooper Thats the best thing i've ever read on youtube.

  • @MrHorraceCooper Pure Class! Thats the funniest comment i ever seen on here

    PMSL

  • I would rip the cloth

  • Amazing shot, how did he get that much spin from that angle? truly great player

  • wow

  • Jimmy and Ronnie are the two greatest entertainers in snooker

  • @tonyjaaak47 what? no Alex Higgins, without him snooker would never have even made it onto the tv

  • @tonyjaaak47 nah,,,,,,,,,,,cliff the grinder thorburn vs terry griffiths,,world final back in the early 80s man that was a nail biter all the way thru..i think the final lasted 15 days and 3 hours.......i was glued to my oxygen tent

  • @tonyjaaak47 HMM ADD ALEX IN UR RIGHT SON!

  • @tonyjaaak47 what about higgins

  • @tonyjaaak47 I agree but only after Alex Higgins

  • @tonyjaaak47 And Alex HIggins!

  • ahh i thought jimmy well, hahaha

  • 0:32 David Vine what are you wearing?

  • Awesome!

  • Best shot I have ever seen

  • I thought this was the best shot. Today Ronnie played a shot to get on the black on a 147 he went inbetween yellow brown then inbetween yellow and blue and perfect on the black. The new best ever shot

  • Naah, no way. Nothing can beat Jimmy and especially nothing can beat this shot. I watched it live back then and I am still thrilled again...

  • @jpjames1 I cant remember if I've seen that. Please gimme video name so I can look at it. Thx.

  • I was told about this shot a long time ago and I thought it was a myth....now I have seen it I still cant believe it...DAMN!!

  • 0.17..... The prick in the purple shirt behaves like he is getting shafted..

  • LMFAO that made me laugh, cheers

  • yeah - he's riding something.

  • ha....

  • lmao 0:17 look at the idiot in the purple shirt in the crowd

  • Jimmy white , the people's champion indeed.

  • omg so great...just like there was an invisible cushion !! great great great..

  • bravo majstore, ovaj mec sam gledao direktno na televiziji i od tada je moj idol jimmi.Jedinstven je u svakom pogledu.

  • hahaah what a shot!

  • Did Jimmy win that game?

  • jimmy did win against ronnie o sullivan

  • Actually, I'm pretty sure it ended 4-4, a draw.

  • that guy asked for the game. Jimmy won that game against Ronnie.

Youtube doesn't place my replies beneath the message I'm replying to.

  • Well, if you mean "game" as in "frame", Jimmy won. But the match ended in a draw.

  • Was this an exhibition match?

Anyway, it was a wicked shot!!

  • its a carambole shot, nice done but look up on biljart you will find more like this

  • Loved jim in the jungle, twice as many people watched snooker finals in the 80,s than watched the final of im a celeb, crazy eh? Jimmy a true sportsman, so gracious in agonizing defeat. Hendry and parrott both said they they played their best ever snooker to beat him. Always the peoples champ cos jim is one of the boys!

  • That is the Greatest Shot i have Ever Seen, and i have been watching snooker for nearly over 20 years !!!

  • vote for jimmy in the jungle!!!

  • Jimmy along with Alex Higgins was the instigator of bringing snooker out of the doldrums of smokey grimey matchrooms to what it is now, thank the lord for Jimmy White.

  • that looks impossible

    absoulotley amazing

best snooker player of all time

  • Jimmy White = The Peoples Champ!

  • he and alex single handly brought people to watch snooker. snooker owes both of them a lot. i watched the davies white final never forget the way he came back and lost. i almost cried.

  • cartoon capers!!!

  • Great Shot!! !Jimmy is the

    great master of his craft!!!

  • and loses the frame....

  • Amazing shot. Has always been a legend and always will be. Played the game to a level of entertainment that no one else could master. Awful being a fan of his really watching him loose 6 world finals etc etc, but will always be my favourite player and he's still in the top 60 players of the world, no mean feat in itself. Come on Jimmy!!!!!!!!

  • why in the top 60? maybe in the top 40 heh... cool

  • I think the same. Even tho he loses, he's one of the names you think of when you think of snooker. hes an entertainer, gotta love him! the ultimate underdog lol

  • Snookeross has just confused the f*ck out of me! Read your post about 8 times and have come to the conclusion that you may just be stating the obvious. For your sake I hope so.

  • the most impossible masse shot ive ever seen. remember this from the 90s. thx for the upload!

  • great shot. Always a nice & rare treat to see a masse being played by snooker players. Sad to say only a handful can actually play them, be it in competition or exhibition. I only know Steve Davis, Cliff Thorburn and Jimmy White are able to pull it off. But only steve & Jimmy did it during competition. Those conditions makes the shot even more difficult to play let alone be succesfull.

  • truly amazing.

  • Oh man...This is an amazing shot.

  • snookeross wtf you on about

  • retard

  • jimmy and alex entertained the people so much and thats why they couldnt win more championship but they live in our heart as peoples champion. These two and ronnie too are not robotic potting machine. Well jimmy is doing good in bangkok beating shawn merfy and reached in the final. I have never seen this type of shot nor did I ever imagine a shot like that can be made. Snooker is an art to them.

  • DEEVAD YA RAST AN PEECE SAN

  • jimmy jimmy jimmy

  • jimmy white is one of the best amongst snooker player

have u all notice the soft player and the ball player

    soft player always own

jimmy white is a hard player that y u see alot stun from him and steven hendry

ronnie was a soft player and marco fu

  • WTF!! . . . Some shot.

  • the perfect shot. that's why we love Jimmy. :)

  • He is the God of Snooker!

  • to do it is hard enough to be that accurate though!

  • no-one has ever put more action on a cue ball than jimmy.

  • wow!!
