  • It's all about weight variation and Torque/HP... The FV513 is superior in both of these areas...The Quadtrack is very useful for what it is but to match it up a machine like that other vehicle is like seeing a Shetland pony pull harder than a Clydesdale..

  • Guess this means the quadtrack sucks.

  • Where can I buy one?!

  • Well....for this video's intents and purposes, It's a tank.

  • If anyone wants to lean pick up a copy of Jane's Tank Recognition Guide. I helped at least 10 guys pass their test by tutoring them with this book

  • Well its not a M113 variant. They have 5 road wheels not 6 so maybe Bradley variant but a Bradley has a gap between the 3 & 4 wheels this doesnt look like that so I think you are right my best guess is that it is an Alvis Stormer APC (UK). also the skirt only covers the idler wheels and the commander's cupola looks like its in the right place. I know this BC I'm Canadian Infantry, just to pass battle school a pte has to know Nato and Russian/Chinese equipment so we dont shoot the good guys ;)

  • @pratorianxiii look up usa friendly fire stats just the M1A1/2s is shocking

  • A tank is defined as an armored vehicle, and as far as I see, that is an armored vehicle, I don't care what job it does.

  • @TrinacriaMaster I really hate CIVIs

  • PEOPLE PLEASE!!!

I used to strip these for a living for the MoD. It is a Warrior repair/recover variant. Or a FV513. It was made in Telford, England in the 1980's.

    IT IS NOT A TANK!!!

  • @pinkdave88 What difference does it make?

  • @1990whoops about 1500hp - 400hp 64t-14t no difference really. $@#* I hate CIVIs

  • @pinkdave88 haha you think your smart, but your not

  • US army !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @GermanBFZocker25 Ummm... actually, it's british.

  • No I just got excited that I had info on the subject. :p

  • THE TANK WAS LETTING IT SELF IN THE BEGINNING

  • More specifically its a Bradley not a tank. Hate how people think anything with tracks is a tank, and its got a chain gun, I think 44mm not a cannon which is like 105mm.

  • @394Husqvarna You better be just trollin...

  • what sort of tank is that?

  • Isn't that @ Harper? in the soil hall???

  • so was that a grand worth of clutchplates?

  • @thekaizer666 the beauty of hydraulics...

  • Never underestimate the power of a quadrack

  • you must have too much time on your hands you farmers lol.

  • @TheConnord63 It's either this or hard work from dawn involving dirty animals, what's your choice? XD

  • I'm surprised that rope held all that weight.

  • tractor has around 100 horse, tank has 400-500 easy

  • @porknbeans2013 That's a CASE Steiger Quad-Trac. The smallest engine offered is 350hp, with a 390hp peak. The most powerful is 600hp with a 670hp peak.

A Bradley Fighting Vehicle is powered by a 600hp diesel.

The difference in pulling power is that the Bradley's ground loading is much higher, because the Steiger is designed to avoid compacting soft, plowed soil.

  • @daltonultra sorry not used to tractors that big around here, most of ours arent that big

  • @porknbeans2013 lol, I wasn't digging at you. That thing is kind of a beast even here in Ohio. But you won't find many farming tractors with engines as small as 100hp anywhere, anymore, unless it's a smaller tractor used for odd jobs like drilling posts, moving hay, that sort of thing. Plowing, seeding, all the big crop jobs are done with the giants now.

  • @porknbeans2013 you serious? that quad track wouldn't even move with 100hp haha

  • @TheMathedis sorry man im a small town boy and we dont have the money for quad tracks

  • its funny cos the tractor was created to pull yet the tank makes it piss

  • whats the horsepower on that tank? it can definitely haul ass.

  • BUT a tank is way heavier and would get stuck in a muddy area where the tractor would not.

  • The APC sounded like a tornado siren. O.O

  • Try a Chally 2, but the tractor might end up mounting it

  • chuck norrises golf caddy!

  • This is NOT a tank. Nowhere near the same weight class.

  • @52mrblue

    Absolutely....it is not a tank !

  • i think what these people failed to realize is that the Case quad track isnt about how much it can pull, it is designed to have a lower ground pressure per square inch, were as the M113 is not designed like that.

  • i do believe that is a 113 now let that POS case go against a M88 Hercules and there would be no competition at all period no questions asked

  • @ksjuggalo1 Hook your POS M88 Hercules to a 2000 bushel grain cart in a muddy corn field and see how far it makes it vs the quadtrac.

  • LOL and that's just what looks to be a 113 (one of the smallest tracks army has), U put that thing against and M88 you can 4get about it, that quad track wouldn't have even moved. lol

  • ARV...or APC, but not a tank.

  • a case 1570 case out pull that pos tank.

  • My left ear loved that.

  • that's a tank right....wheres the cannon?

  • tax dollars at work

  • its not a m113 its british warrior 513 not even an apc its an arv ha roughly 18l single turbo v8 one of it jobs is to pull another that is broken.

  • Actually, I got it wrong. Quadtrac outweighs the APC by a full 7 tons! I had stats from the wrong model of APC.

  • well once that tractor lost traction there was no hope

  • the tank only weighs three times as mutch as that tractor you fucking idiots

  • @MYF1LTHYH4NDS Please, know what the hell you are tallking about before you comment. The APC only outweighs the quadtrac by about a ton. 31 1/2 ton vs 32 1/4 ton.

  • No fair armored personal transport had metal tracks

  • a farmer who owns the land around our house has about the same tractor just sad that he ows the bank about 15 milion dollars

  • actually tractor was holding pretty well... until that APC driver hit the pedal :P

  • Diesel fumes make me horney. :)

  • fuck that. IHC IS BETTER

  • APC will always win

  • thats..not..a..fucking. TAAAAAAAAANK

  • Not an expert, but it seems the AFV has the advantage due to weight. I'm just guessing.

  • I love America.

  • that is a APC not a tank

  • I drove an M113-a2 in the Gulf War, Had to re-govern the carburetor, The Thing went from 10 mph to 45 mph after the adjustment.. That Detroit diesel was a MONSTER !!

  • @wazy262 Was it one of the good old 71 series?

  • @wazy262 That's something since diesel motors don't have carburetors.

  • @1987chevywagon Depends entirely on application. The vast majority of modern diesel engines are fuel injected, yes, but some of the earliest light pickup diesels had carbureters. Hell, most motorcycles are still carbureted. I would think that tank diesels might need the extra power that carbureters provide, so I'd say it's entirely possible that those are still carbureted.

  • @mj20042 No diesel has ever been carbureted period.

  • @1987chevywagon I was wrong. I knew the first-generation cummins-powere rams had mechanical fuel-injection, but I thought the mid-80s GM diesels were carbureted. I can't find anything to suggest that's true. Kudos. I think the guy must have meant the injection pump, then, because mechanical injection pumps can be adjusted to make more power (a notable feature of the first-generation Cummins Rams)

  • @mj20042 "but I thought the mid-80s GM diesels were carbureted"

By its very nature, a diesel engine cannot be "carbureted".

  • @kaysandesses You know, reading helps. If you took another second to read further you'd see I said I was wrong. "I can't find anything to suggest that's true."

  • @mj20042 What helps even more is doing your research BEFORE you post.

  • @kaysandesses Fair point. Still doesn't help your reading problem. It was an extraneous post that you left, which basically means you went out of your way to be a dick.

  • @mj20042 Testy, testy. My initial comment was trying to help someone who obviously knows very little about internal combustion engines. I was trying to be helpful and you got all huffy. Sounds like you have a little confidence thing to me. For the record, here's what going out of my way to be a dick sounds like: go piss up a rope.

  • @mj20042 Rudolf Diesel's engine the very first diesel engines were never carbureted. It was always a type of mechanical injector.

  • @Ratkill9000 Yeah, I left a comment more or less correcting myself.

  • If they would of had weight on the tractor that tank wouldnt stand a chance

  • Yea, a real tank would have smoked that tractor at the very beginning. Just saying.

  • @JBS14baller exactly, by means of a cannon!

  • @JBS14baller Well first it is not a tank, it is an M-113 Armored Personel Carrier, and second it being mostly aluminum and 2/3 the weight of the tractor I say it done well.

  • @JBS14baller so this isnt a real one? Ive seen it at the military bases...

  • @JBS14baller FUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCKKKKKKK YYYOOOOOUUU to the people who talk out their ass when they think they know what their talking about thanks bye

  • @JBS14baller that was a real tank. it's a different type of tank than one with a cannon. it's a personnel carrier. my dad worked on tanks so i know what's what.

  • sick ass !!!!!!!!!!

  • Meanwhile, in UhMur'cuhhhhhhh.

  • Thats a 113 ya fags. Not a tank

  • well tank is heavier.

  • I wonder if that quadtrac has locking differential, I drive a quadtrac everyday and the locking diff helps alot! Still probably would have lost but may have put up a better fight!

  • tractor is to light compared to the other its made by heavier metals so even the weight and try again.....

  • @spudkiss1984 quad track is steel frame and components, M113 is aluminum body and tiny 250 hp engine. quad track should be heaver.

  • Definitely a 513,your can hear the fan second stage when he floors it.

  • case nao presta

  • why would u have a tank??

  • i wonder if the tanks cummins i know cummins puts there engines in alot alot of army vehicals cummins even salls to case maybe there both cummins anybody know?

  • GO the Tankies

  • this is super good for engines!

  • I want to see nasa's big crawler pull sumthin' . . .

  • dupa, a nie operator ciągnika

  • So this is what they do at area 51!!!

  • it is a very small tank

  • tank wins

  • Ok, need to ask this, what kind of chain did you use?

  • @blobjrghf Dental Floss

  • @puremaplesyrup22 Could use some of that brand then. Lol..

  • Cool tank it is bad

  • The Tank is the Bad Ass... lolz

  • This is not tank, this is BMP-3 ;)

  • Hey Dumbass, since WHEN has an M13 got 6 roadwheels?

Dont call anyone a DUMBass if you are a DUMBass!

  • weight wins

  • metal tracks vs rubber tracks......

  • That arv was like fuck yo shit

  • Question of the day: Who's going to change the torsion bars on the 113 now? LOL

  • M113's only have 5 wheels either side, REME 513's have 6. If anyone here can count, the vehicle in the video has 6 either side. REME 513

  • @matt2062 Basic AFV recognition gone well wrong, Septics eh?

  • Jesus Christ I've gone back quite a few pages and all y'all are still arguing about whether it's a tank/APC/recovery vehicle! :O

  • @cl998 Well, in the first Gulf it was important to know what kit was what. If you lot had, you wouldnt have shot down your own Blackhawk helicoptors killing lots of your allies also you wouldnt have blasted two British Warrior APC`s killing the blokes inside. THATS why its important mate.

  • @stubbostubbs

I was about to launch into an "You Americans can't really talk about friendly fire incidents and be too critical" response there, but then noticed you're from the UK, so what's with the "You lot" comment!? And when did Youtube become as important as an actual armed service, must have missed that one!? ;-)

  • @cl998 WTF is your point? By "You lot" I mean the yanks obviously. Obviously, youve never been Britmil or you would get my point.

    24 Yrs Ex 2 Para

  • @stubbostubbs

My point is I am also from the UK also (so I said "all y'all", it's a US saying I like, sue me!), so thought *you* were a Yank looking for an excuse to bash the UK forces, since it's not that uncommon on YT vids...

  • @cl998 They think their mil is so superior. Bollox, superior Kit in a lot of areas but ive worked with their 101st, 82nd Airborne and their Rangers. get them cold wet and hungry and watch the performance nosedive.

  • who gives a fuck

  • its a m113 personal carrier !

  • Why the hell do you have a tank on your farm? lol

  • its a bradley

  • The light armor adds such tremendous weight.

  • dude you have some bad ass toys. i'm definately gettin one of those lol

  • no more clutch :(........

  • that shit is a fucking tank all those stupid letters and numbers yall crying bout dont mean god damn thing

  • @roeroe305 Actually it does. A tank =/= APC. Completely different vehicles designed to do completely different things. Perhaps you should educate yourself before coming on the internet and making a fool of yourself ;)

  • @thefitzthewitz i say BULLOKS!

  • So what is it an m13 armored personal carrier pr a REME 513 armored recovery vehicle???

  • thats not a tank

  • I was hoping the quadtrack would win...

  • Mmmmhhh... i love the smell of burned clutches in the morning!

  • the guy had no mercy who was driving the reme the guy using the case didnt want to kill that beast (motor)

  • that wasn't a tank -.-

  • Thats a APC faggot

  • tank still a tank

  • That was a armoured personnel carrier, a tank would have certainly ripped and flattened the red tractor

  • Not an M113. The M113 has five roadwheels, this quite clearly has six. It's the recovery variant of the Warrior. Look at the huge blade anchor at the back.

  • Wow! I know what I'm gonna call in the next time I get my combine stuck!

  • Pretty convincing apart from the tracks on the quadtrack hardly spinning and the bloke instructing him to go backwards FAIL!!!

  • @TheCuntreeboi well if you have driven a quadtrack youd know they dont spin you just get stuck. itll go or it wont. also that guy was just rooting for the m13 to win

  • @HASSON454 Yeah corz! I use mine to go to the local shops to buy large portions of FAIL!

  • @TheCuntreeboi the only fail here is you and your ill thought out comment. the quad track is one of the best tractors i have ever operated.

  • @HASSON454 So it has plenty of traction but lacks to horse power to more the tracks when u get stuck?

  • @AdamNeisler other way around. they will spin in mud and wet conditions but in this dirt ya theres to much traction for the motor to break its own traction... which most of the time is a good thing. once you lose traction your done

  • Trust me that is NO TANK!!! But still a good video...........You would have to use something very impressive to challenge a MBT

  • Armia górą ;)

  • Lortetraktor!

  • ITS NOT A FUCKING TANK! Think of it as a real mans buss.

  • Tank weight had a big part of traction loss

  • Time for a 210 ton 5,000 hp SD80MAC Locomotive. The tank would be dragged.

  • No chance in hell.

You just cant mess with a tank.

  • tank is heavier, tank can get much better grip so that leads to better traction, thus tank wins!

  • @branchlinedisaster no shit captin obvious

  • THE TRACTOR HAVES THE DOUBLE OF POWER, BUT THE TANK IS HEAVIER. THAT'S THE REASON BECAUSE THE TANK WIN.

  • der case wiegt auch mehr und hat warscheinlich auch mehr ps und das ist auch KEIN panzer sondern ein personen transporter die haben weniger ps als ein panzer und sind leichter

  • Comment removed

  • In Soviet Russia tank pull you.

  • @whamerade doesn't "tank" normally pull you? so...you pull tank?

  • @whamerade n in soviet russia YOU PULL TANK!!!!!

  • the Case IH Quadtrac would have won if the driver engaged the diffrential lock. and see my channel to see some of the case tractors in action on our farm

  • I want that tractor

  • Go the M13 YEAH!!!!

  • So how much is each worth?

  • what brand tractor is that?

  • @mrmike51511 looks like CASE but im not sure

  • hahahaha credo nao ganha nem d um tank veio vai impata com oq ?

  • Clearly a Reme Warrior 513. It has 6 road wheels, whereas the M113 has 5. Different hull/body shape too. The Reme is lower, particularly in front where it steps down around the half way mark withe a gentle slope to the front. Access for personel is through a small door in the rear, not a drop down ramp like the M113. The M113 is taller and level till about 3/4 the way, then slopes down sharply to the front. So many other differences, but it should've been easy to identify just on that alone. :)

  • @danboynz you got a chubby after writing that didnt you?

  • @trent820 A l'il bit. ;) lol

  • и где здесь танк?

    самоходка какая-то

  • that is definitely 100% a REME 513 armoured recovery vehicle. i should know i'm in the REME and have crewed and driven them.. so for all the idiots that think it is n M113.. do your research and get your facts right before posting comments that make you look stupid.

  • @mikeyjop285 dude its a tank, not an armoured recovery vehicle...

  • @mikeyjop285 @ 525jake

a person like me trained as a sniper one has pertection the otheres is a freaking tractor I FELT YOU BOUTH NEED TOO KNOW THAT TEACTICAL INFORMTION

--------and your bouth ok in my book

  • @mikeyjop285 Dont bother argueing with a yank mate on AFV recognition, they twat warriors from 10,000 feet even with mega optical systems on board their A10`s plus Hi vis panels and black chevrons on the Warrior.

  • @stubbostubbs A10's had almost no electronics in the gulf war and still don't have significant optical systems, its all low rez.

  • @astrialkil You're wrong. They've got the highest rez optical system known to man...the Mk 1 eyeball. Just kidding!
