@sennheiserusa Awesome. Too bad the B52 is so expensive. Was looking at the Apex Peak, woo audio 22 and red wine isabellina myself. I prefer tube since it gives more of a "romantic" listen. :) Anything with tubes you can specifically recommend for your flagship in that price range? Something that doesn't take away the detail, frequency extension and precision u know...
@Satfgk we have no official stance, but have had lovely results with the Ray Samuels B52, Headroom Balanced Ultra, Resonessance Invicta DAC, Benchmark DAC1, SPL Phonitor...there are a lot of great choices out there, some single ended, some balanced
The fact that these goes up to 51kHz is a stupid value because humans can hear up to 20 - 22 kHz so it 's completely useless. This is just what made you buy them, just becuase you read "51 kHz" and think" oh my god that has to be awesome!" but is stupid.
@Viczey we just state what the transducer can do, not what the human ear is capable of doing. Many cars can go up to 200 MPH, however, you will never drive that fast in the duration of ownership. As a result, our headphones produce a flatter frequency response across the ACTUAL range of human hearing--- just as the sports car will deliver consistent acceleration across the range of driveable speeds.
@JogBird I plugged them into my iPhone 4 and they sounded awesome. After that i listened on a high end headphone amplifier. Yes, it goes louder and the sound was a bit more transparent, but the difference was much smaller than I expected. Even the owner from the hifi store was amazed at how they sounded on the iPhone + Spotify!
The HD 700 should be even easier to drive. And I heared it has more bass, the HD 800 was a little bit bright and bass shy when compared to my own HD 650.
@KashgroundTM Their sound is very detailed, neutral and clean, with incredible control all over the frequency range and with an awesome sense of precision to it. The bass is very airy, controlled and deep, the treble is incredibly clear and precise and the mids region is slightly emphasized, sounding very neutral (some may find it a bit dry with vocals depending on the equipment being used) but with wonderful accuracy for most of all guitarr and piano. All this is presented in an extraordinaril
im never gonna hear these in my life because im not paid that well lol so how they sound?i cant exactly imagine how they could sound better than a senn 428
@workshop4life1 actually I didn't :) i am a product specialist for sennheiser so i talk about headphones allllllll day (sweet gig). thanks for checking out the video!!
@sennheiserusa Man, you're truly blessed to work for them. What exactly does a product specialist do? Are you a technician, a designer, consultant or someone who knows the product inside and out & pitches it to other companies or outlets? I've done similar work, as far as promoting & marketing, sales. I'm out of a job now...times are hard here in Orlando, Florida, Even the mouse isn't hiring, ha ha. Just curious as to your job description. YOu're blessed, great company. Good luck bro.
@pitolove71 I agree with you, I am quite fortunate to have a job, as well as this particular job. Product specialists are responsible for being the product champion. In the US, that means providing support to our customers both big and small. Thank you and good luck in your search, keep at it- you'll find something!
i use these to watch my blu ray movies through an amplifier. It's really awesome. The explosions and the effects feels like you are wearing huge speakers in your ears. The weird thing is....i can hear my friend talking beside me, since these are open ear design.
For up to $80: When my late 90s Walkman CD player finally started to break, I got a Sansa Fuze and converted my CDs to FLAC format. With my Sennheiser HD 280 Pros, the Fuze sounds better than my CD player, especially in treble clarity. The Sansa Clip and Clip+ get similar reviews for audio quality.
For about $800: the HiFi-Man HM-801, with an internal modular headphone amplifier. If they ever made a portable version of the HD 800s...
@jmans25 Beats were expensive due to its name, while here, Senheisser is Expensive due to its legendary performance... Unbeatable... What you buy in others are names, while Senheisser offers you the cheapest price they can offer in exchange for a Legendary and Perfect sound and Performance. :)
@jmans25 If you think that Beats are expensive, these headphones aren't meant for you. I would look in the HD515 or the HD555 which retail from $50-$100 and will give you as good if not better performance than the Beats.
@jmans25 With beats you pay for the brand, with Sennheiser's HD 800 you pay for the most awesome headphones in the world, there is a saying that goes: 'Sennheiser in the ear, cum or you're a queer' true story bro
Not bad but there's still no contest. Y'all need a good history lesson. Sennheiser's own ORPHEUS Full Electrostatic Head-Speakers (Google it!) from about 17(?) years ago, which most of you kiddies wouldn't have a clue about, let alone real audio. They were something like US$13,000 (in early 90's money.) Best headphone I've ever seen and tried and nothing since has even come close. It even came with its own tube amp which itself shames even most home amps. Truly in a league of its own!
The awesome headphone stand shound be included for the price.
