  • Jamarcus actually would have talent today if he was still in it.

  • Russel could throw more accurate than Leaf.

  • well give the chargers credit they wanted to draft manning

  • Russel is a bigger bust because russel was the 1ST OVERALL PICK. Leaf was the 2nd! That means out off all the talent in the russels draft (which included revis and calvin and others i cant remember) the raiders though russel was the best player they could get. Chargers talked with the colts about trding up to the number 1 pick because they wanted peyton. there main desire wasnt to get ryan like how the raiders main desire was to get russel.

  • Jamarcus Russel had talent, he could have been a really good quarterback, but he was to lazy

  • but if we got ap we would of never had mcfadden

  • @raidersfootball20 What's your point? Mcfadden was a bust till this year, Peterson is...

    Peterson

  • At least Ryan Leaf could fit in the pocket and throw a spiral...

  • Leaf is a bigger bust because everyone was saying he was going to have a better career than Peyton... and look what happened lol

  • We definately could have had AP, but Al Davis is obviously the blame for that cuz he wanted JABUST, Lane Kiffin our coach then didnt want JABUST. I think Ryan Leaf was a bigger Bust considering how Overhyped he was, draft experts at the time thought hed be Better than Peyton Manning. LMFAO!! but Jamarcus Russell is a close second cuz he was Drafted #1, came in overweight at nearly 290 or 300 lbs and didnt do shit.

  • at least jamarcus russel won games...well a few..but way more than leaf

  • Ryan Leaf is the bigger bust, for many different reasons but one that's usually overlooked is... Al Davis has no idea of what he's doing anymore. It makes any player less of a bust if Davis is somehow involved in it. Unfortunately for Raiders fans, bone-headed draft picks and personel moves are to be expected and shouldn't surprise anyone anymore. Sad considering what a great football mind he once had, but Davis should step down as owner. The time has come.

  • the difference between the 2 is ryan leaf was extremely immature. idk if russell is or not ive never seen him whine. maybe somebody has but not me

  • @shmauteguy i just dislike russell as a player, not a person. ryan on the other hand; i can't stand both ways!

  • @shmauteguy hes not immature but hes really really really cocky even tho he sucks

  • i think that it is ryan leaf pretty much the fact that the chargers could have had peyton manning who went to have a much better career such as throwing over 400 tds and winning a super bowl and winning a record-breaking 5 mvps. jamarcus does suck but there was only 2 qbs (him and brady quinn) selected in the first round and both of them sucked. so i would have to pick ryan leaf pretty much b/c peyton manning did much more than ryan leaf ever did.

  • @fighton12 Dude in the 98' draft Peyton was #1 overall and Leaf was 2nd.

  • @z4ng3tsu1ch1g0 Yeah but who would you have rather had: Ryan Leaf or Randy Moss?

  • This is not even an argument, Ryan Leaf.

  • i think ryan leaf, because jamarcus was the only quarterback the people were focusing, but Peyton Manning and Ryan Leaf were the main one's in 1998. Ryan was good at first, but was cocky and got it in his head and he was losing bad. Jamarcus at least got the raiders better. Not great, but better.

  • Russell for sure. Leaf was a 2nd overall choice. Russell was a first. If Leaf was picked before Manning, then it would be Leaf hands down. At this point it is Russell.

  • im a raiders fan, and still know jamarcus russel is the biggest draft bust of all tme, wat kinda of number 1 pick was that, just cause of the suger bowl and big arm... sphhhh!!...lol

  • I think Ryan Leaf was a bigger disappointment. Mainly because of how he was attached to Peyton Manning pre draft..and many thought he should have been taken ahead of Manning at the time. and then he went out and threw only 2 TD's next to 16 INT's that season.
