Yup, atoms are pretty slow... plus this is the earlier slow SSD models. Did this video when the Aspire One & netbooks was still new to the market. The newer ones w/ hardrives will boot alot faster.
oh ok, i have never a fan though of these little netbooks man. I just find them so pointless, and i hate these laptop size parts they are putting in desktops, i understand the whole move to green but damn they are sucking the performance out of everything like crazy.
Have you had any trouble with hanging and stuff while running the os? cuz every time i put xp on this netbook i end up with a system filled with lag and crappy hanging :-(
Absolutely problem free, it's as stable as any of my computers.... The key is to install a full SP3 of Windows XP, and not some nLited version of it. Also update the BIOS and install the latest or most stable drivers.
Hey there i see your using XP black lol...i have also done the same thing with a stangard copy of xp and upgreaded my system from 512 to a gig so just below a gig as it nabs 8 meg for the gfx and i have had so many problems with HID's here and there or missing system files what media way did you install thanks.
Have you tried using Flashfire?

@y2kblackout - yes, it's a necessity for the slow write speed of the A110 SSD.

took a while to boot up. could have been the processor slowing things up.

why does it look like vista?
scarface4724 2 years ago
That's the nu-vista theme for XP. You have to patch uxtheme.dll so that you can use 3rd party themes. Normal XP is ugly hehe. :)
peterjaena 2 years ago
is it free and no viruses on nu-vista???
scarface4724 2 years ago
instead of super boot you could just wait a little bit more :) patience is essential in this case lol :)
