  • Have you tried using Flashfire?

  • @y2kblackout - yes, it's a necessity for the slow write speed of the A110 SSD.

  • took a while to boot up. could have been the processor slowing things up.

  • Yup, atoms are pretty slow... plus this is the earlier slow SSD models. Did this video when the Aspire One & netbooks was still new to the market. The newer ones w/ hardrives will boot alot faster.

  • oh ok, i have never a fan though of these little netbooks man. I just find them so pointless, and i hate these laptop size parts they are putting in desktops, i understand the whole move to green but damn they are sucking the performance out of everything like crazy.

  • im thinking of buying this.

  • Have you had any trouble with hanging and stuff while running the os? cuz every time i put xp on this netbook i end up with a system filled with lag and crappy hanging :-(

  • Absolutely problem free, it's as stable as any of my computers.... The key is to install a full SP3 of Windows XP, and not some nLited version of it. Also update the BIOS and install the latest or most stable drivers.

  • I really need your help!

How do you enable a USb drive to boot Xp so you can instal it on aspire one?

Ive tried using the one from BootLand but dosnt work for me!

    please Message back!

  • why does it look like vista?

  • That's the nu-vista theme for XP. You have to patch uxtheme.dll so that you can use 3rd party themes. Normal XP is ugly hehe. :)

  • is it free and no viruses on nu-vista???

  • instead of super boot you could just wait a little bit more :) patience is essential in this case lol :)

  • I used TinyXP Rev 09, boot time 38 secs. What kind of XP r u using? Thanks

  • It's a full version Windows XP Home SP3

  • i see people saying that they use TinyXP all the time. is it just a trimmed version of the original? if so where can i download and such? thx

  • Hey there i see your using XP black lol...i have also done the same thing with a stangard copy of xp and upgreaded my system from 512 to a gig so just below a gig as it nabs 8 meg for the gfx and i have had so many problems with HID's here and there or missing system files what media way did you install thanks.

  • kinda looks like vista...

  • why does your AA1 boot so fast... did you do any mods on the hard drive?

Is XP Prof more heavy than the XP Home?

  • nice. glad you're enjoying your netbook. :)

  • I sure am, thanks hehe. I have not touched my Lenovo Thinkpad X60s for a while now. ;)

  • have you tried using XP Prof?

  • Hello there. What kind of test would you like to see? I have tested it using Yahoo Messenger, and it works fine.

  • Hi, I am getting one of those for my birthday. It looks like that when I start it up? I am just wondering. :)
