Minimizing direct contact with the butter will help to keep it fresh, so try using a sterile spoon or popsicle stick to get the butter out of the container rather than using your hands. With that being said, you can expect this butter to stay fresh for about 3 months. Discard it if it changes color, scent, or appearance.
