  • I live dragon quest

    especialy dragon quest VIII

a game like that won't come that fast again (TT______________TT

  • The overture for this game is epic beyond words.

  • I have such strong feelings about this series from my childhood that my I got the chills (and literal goosebumps) as soon as this music started playing. Amazing!

  • Kouichi sugiyama and Nobuo uematu are 2's great masters of the Japanese game music composer.

  • wow thanks for uploading this i've always wanna see them performing live but can't find them

    5*s!

  • A classic!

  • Alright! My favourite!

  • mee too but one of my favorites is the battle theme. really i love this game and his precious soundtrack.

  • One of the true classics of videogaming - and a sorely underrated one here in the USA compared to Mario, Zelda, Final Fantasy, and other musical gems... but the DQ Overture is upliftingly addictive.

  • @browncoatkevin truly. LUCKILY, nintendo has invested in a part of dragon quest, because they have heard our complaints about how Dragon Quest is underrated, thus, they plan to advertise it more in america now because they think it deserves more attention. (thats what i heard anyway)

  • @corntheadventurer

I can't complain about that - DQIV and V were fairly heavily-promoted for the DS, and all signs point to the couple-months-out DQIX as also being well-advertised. There's a reason it's the top RPG series in Japan - it's had a solid formula that it never subtracts any of the core elements from, though only 3, 6, 7, and 9 have had the class-changing system, it wasn't put 4, 5, or 8 because the games and stories didn't need that extra flourish.

  • @browncoatkevin currently im playing 8. Its truly an amazing RPG, 9 seems to follow after it pretty closely, but, this is not odd because all the dragon quest games follow after one another, if anyone is wondering, Dragon Quest 9 is coming out on July 11th.

  • the man from this video,is koichi sugiyama?

  • this is some baby making music for sure

  • my comment is not spam so fuck ya then

  • a mix of my two heritages

  • wow great job koichi Sugiyama

  • damn this is like one of the most recognizable songs in video game history

  • Its exactly the same version used on the title screen for the DS version!

  • DS version is played by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra

  • Yeah I Know that's so cool that It has the orchestra Version Of this song

  • Koichi Sugiyama I Hope You will Still Rember Me I Love Dragon Quest IV Overture

  • Jeez, when was this filmed? Amazing music, but the game came out in 1990 - not 1970.

  • Well, the first game actually came out in the early 1980's

  • I was making a joke about the quality of the footage being transferred. The Opacity seems to be dropped or something. Why are you referring to the first game, when all of the music from this series is from Dragon Quest IV, which was released in 1990 in Japan and '92 in U.S.?

  • I love that song. And the game.

  • lol this video looks like it was made in the 70s...

    i love the song!

  • YEAH BOY GO FRENCH HORNS!

  • GO DRAGON QUEST!!! GO Mr. Sugiyama!!! YEE HAW, BABY!!!

  • Dragon Warrior IV, oh yea baby!
