One of the true classics of videogaming - and a sorely underrated one here in the USA compared to Mario, Zelda, Final Fantasy, and other musical gems... but the DQ Overture is upliftingly addictive.

@browncoatkevin truly. LUCKILY, nintendo has invested in a part of dragon quest, because they have heard our complaints about how Dragon Quest is underrated, thus, they plan to advertise it more in america now because they think it deserves more attention. (thats what i heard anyway)

I can't complain about that - DQIV and V were fairly heavily-promoted for the DS, and all signs point to the couple-months-out DQIX as also being well-advertised. There's a reason it's the top RPG series in Japan - it's had a solid formula that it never subtracts any of the core elements from, though only 3, 6, 7, and 9 have had the class-changing system, it wasn't put 4, 5, or 8 because the games and stories didn't need that extra flourish.

@browncoatkevin currently im playing 8. Its truly an amazing RPG, 9 seems to follow after it pretty closely, but, this is not odd because all the dragon quest games follow after one another, if anyone is wondering, Dragon Quest 9 is coming out on July 11th.
